1.What will I be giving my opinion on?
You’ll provide critical feedback on a wide variety of topics that will constantly evolve. Some will be about Chegg – what we offer, how we do it, and how we talk about it. Others will be about education – how you learn, what you want to learn, how your schools could be better, your books and learning materials could be better, and frankly, how your whole academic life could be better. And still others will be about our partners – the brands that serve students who look to you to as a guide on what they should build, kill, or make different.
2. How will my feedback be used?
Here at Chegg, we’re feedback crazy. We simply can’t get enough of it. The people who design and build the things we offer to students make listening to your input one of the first and last things they do every day. And it’s the same for other businesses who serve students, and educators too. Your feedback will inspire new ideas, settle debates, and point the way to a future where the student comes first.
3. What kinds of activities will I be asked to do?
We mix it up and keep things interesting. There will be surveys, of course, but also discussions, live chats, webcam interviews, quick polls, and even projects where we ask YOU to be the researcher, doing investigations and interviews of fellow classmates using your smartphone. We also take road trips and come to meet Cheggheads at your school, and sometimes, even invite Cheggheads to come to the Chegg offices to meet with our executive team.
4. What will I get for my participation?
Cheggheads will have the opportunity to enter into exclusive contests for cash and prizes, and some activities will earn you free schwag from Chegg and our partners. But we hope more importantly, you’ll get an opportunity to make a major difference in how we run our business, and how others run theirs.
To show you how, you’ll get access to the Cheggheads blog, where we post up to date news about how your contributions are having an impact.
4. How often will I be asked to participate?
That will vary depending on the topic, the time of year, and the kinds of research we’re doing. But on average, expect to have an opportunity to participate about once a month.
How frequently do I have to participate?
Completely up to you. We know you’re busy, and there’s no minimum number of times you must participate in our research. And you are free to cancel your membership at any time.
4. Will anyone look at my individual responses to a project?
That depends on the project. If you’re answering a survey, your responses will be combined with others who’ve answered the survey. But if you’re participating in a discussion forum, or a person to person interview, your answers will be looked at individually.
