No. 812, sec. 186) power is given to the Governor in Council from time to time to make, alter, and rescind rules, regulations, and orders for the various purposes therein specified : Now therefore His Excellency the Governor, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the regulation following, that is to say :- W REGULATION. 1. If, in the opinion of the Board of Land and Works, any lands comprised within the boundaries of any allotment open for selection, or about to be leased, under Section 32 of The Land Act 1884, are llkely to be required for railway purposes, or for public roads or highways, a form of undertaking, as per Schedule A hereto, shall be executed by the proposed lessee before the issue to him of a lease for the said allotment. 2. The form of lease to be used in cases where railway or road undertaking has been executed shall be as prescribed in Schedule IXA to the Land Regulations of this day's date. Schedule A. Form of Railway and Road Undertaking. I, of hereby undertake and agree to accept a lease under Section 32 of The Land Act 1884 containing for allotment parish of acres, subject to the express stipulations following, that is t<> say:I undertake and agree that the lease shall contain, in addition to the covenants and conditions provided in The Land Act 1884, a covenant on my part, in a form to be prepared by the Governor in Council, that, in the event of the said land, or any part thereof, being at any time required by the Commissioners of Victorian Railways for railway purposes, or by the Governor in Council for public roads or highways, to remove any improvements therefrom, and to relinquish and give up possession of the said land, or any part thereof, that may be required for the purposes aforesaid, and that I will not claim any compensation for or in respect of such removal and resumption and severance, and that I release Her Majesty, her heirs and successors, from all or any compensation whatsoever for such removal, resumption, or severance ; and I hereby further undertake and agree, in the event of the said allotment, or any part thereof, being granted to me under Section 42 of The Land Act 1884 as an agricultural allotment, to accept a license therefor, subject to a similar covenant to the foregoing on my part, to be contained in such license, in addition to the usual conditions of such licenses. day of Dated this 18 • Signature Address Witness Address JOHN L.
