Reading scenarios to measure comprehension, identifying the main idea, finding meaning of words in context, making logical inferences, etc. The reading scenarios pop up on the screen. Students can move the windows around to see the entire scenario. Time allotment: 50 minutes. 3. VOCABULARY AND GENERAL KNOWLEDGE: 50-item exam. Contains vocabulary terms that are often used in general English speaki8ng and in the healthcare fields. Time allotment: 50 minutes. 4. CHEMISTRY: 25-item exam. Covers matter, chemical equations and reactions, the periodic table, atomic structure, nuclear chemistry, chemical bonding, etc. Time allotment: 50 minutes. 5. ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY (A&P): 25-item exam. Covers general terminology and anatomical structures and systems. Time allotment: 25 minutes. 6. GRAMMAR: 50-item exam. Contains basic grammar, including parts of speech, important terms and their uses in grammar, commonly occurring grammatical errors, etc. Time allotment: 50 minutes. 7. BIOLOGY: 25-item exam. The test covers photosynthesis, metabolism, cells, cellular respiration, biology basics and biological molecules. Time allotment: 25 minutes. A² LEARNING STYLE/PERSONALITY PROFILE: 1. LEARNING STYLE: 14-item assessment of preferred learning style. Time allotment: 15 minutes. 2. PERSONALITY STYLE: 15-item assessment. Uses concepts related to introversion and extroversion to classify student’s personality style. Time allotment: 15 minutes. HESI A² Testing Policy HESI A² exams require a testing fee of $50.00. Students must pay the fee in the Business office, then the student must then bring their receipt to the Testing Center and schedule an appointment. If the student is unable to keep the appointment, the student must call the Testing Center to reschedule the exam (405-945-8648). Exams may be rescheduled only once. The Testing Center is not responsible for missed deadlines.
