How Am I Uniquely Created? How Am I Uniquely Positioned?
Seven Truths About Finding OUR PLACE for Life’s Opportunities
1.
One of the great challenges of a man’s life is understanding how God has uniquely created and positioned him.
2.
In every moment of a man’s life, God is working to position him to fulfill his life purpose and His (God’s)
ultimate purposes.
3.
As a man understands God has uniquely created and positioned him, he then can focus on why God has done
so, and where God wants to use his life.
4.
Every man has strengths and weaknesses. In matters of character, we should focus on our weaknesses. In
matters of giftedness, we should focus on our strengths.
5.
As a man lives his life, grows in maturity, and develops his unique personhood, God desires to work at every
moment in and through his life.
6.
God can work through our weaknesses, but often works through the unique gifts He has given to us.
7.
The ultimate goal is to find that place where a man’s gifts connect with the needs of the world for the good of
others and the glory of God.
Summarizing It In a Sentence:
Do What You Can,
With What You Have,
Right Where You Are,
For the Good of Others,
And the Glory of God!
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
A Quick Example—David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17)
“The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear
will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:37
“David fastened Saul’s sword over his tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them. “I cannot
go in these,” David said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off. Then he took his staff in his
hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag and, with his sling in
his hand, approached the Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:39-40
