Job Title: Scientist / Senior Scientist Salary: Depends on Experience Type: Fulltime, Salary Days/Hours: Regular business hours Start: ASAP Relocation: Not available Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative scientist to support the development of novel nucleic acid based product candidates for a range of clinical applications. Specific tasks will include design and optimization of novel antibody expression constructs and performance of research evaluating recombinant antibody expression in vitro and in vivo. The research will entail progression of programs from preclinical development into clinical testing. The scientist will participate in a broad range of programs in a dynamic, small company. The successful applicant will have a strong background in recombinant antibody expression, molecular biology techniques, and immunological assays. Experience in qPCR, GLP/GMP, research in animal models, and/or proposal writing is also desirable. Qualifications PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, or a related field and/or suitable experience in recombinant antibody expression 4-6+ years postgraduate experience Expertise in molecular biology Demonstrated proficiency in designing recombinant antibody gene constructs, evaluating expression in vitro and/or in vivo, and purifying and characterizing expressed antibodies Technical skill in ELISA development and in IHC is a plus Experience designing and managing studies in animal models and familiarity with common immunological assays and methods is preferred Experience in the development of product candidates for infectious disease applications including nonclinical and clinical studies, and/or interaction with regulatory authorities is a plus Strong interest in clinically directed research Ability to work independently within a collaborative work environment Motivated, detail-oriented person desiring to work in a small company Excellent oral and written communication skills Application Requirements A current US work authorization is required.
