OBJECTIVES: By the end of this unit, each student will be able to:
1. Analyze the fallout after WWI, the Lost Generation, and return to conservative
politics.
2. Discuss the social, economic and political impact of the Dust Bowl and the Great
Depression.
3. Describe the rise of intolerance, the resurgence of the KKK and the rise of
demagogues.
4. Discuss the importance of the New Deal and FDR in changing Americans view of the
role of their government.
