developed recommendations for the City Council. Clearly, they have
considered the changes in the older adult population and made suggestions,
perhaps, for YOUR future. Learn more at this exciting event. All are
welcome. Director Christine Beatty premieres the 2013 Senior Center
Annual Report, with highlights of accomplishments for the Senior Center,
its leaders and staff!
Start mingling at 9 am; join us for continental breakfast (juice/fruit, bagels

YOU CAN’T CONTROL THE WORLD,
BUT YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR DECISIONS.
Sometimes the market reacts poorly to
world events, but just because the market
reacts doesn’t mean you should. Still,
if current events are making you feel
uncertain about your finances, you should
schedule a complimentary portfolio review.
That way, you can make sure you’re in
control of where you want to go and how
you get there. Call or visit your local

Donors are Volunteers, Too
Volunteer Week starts April 6. At this time, the Madison Senior Center reflects upon its good fortune and
honors the 300 volunteers that serve. It feels good to engage all these people in “promoting successful
aging.”
Besides donating time, many volunteers make a financial gift, too. This is a significant part of the resources
that allow us to provide programs and opportunities here for all older adults. We appreciate and remember
these generous people who benefit the Madison Senior Center. Gifts of time and money are essential to our
operation.
Thank you for your voluntary support! It DOES make a difference!
And please remember, you are warmly invited to attend our Annual Recognition Breakfast on Thursday,

Botanical Gardens and has presented programs
for the Olbrich Garden’s docent training series
and served as docent for the Bolz Conservatory
for more than 8 years.
He contributes to activities of Veterans for Peace,
establishing the Memorial Mile each Memorial

Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. He was a member of
the local arrangements committee that hosted the
2013 National Veterans for Peace Conference in
Madison.
As a member Madison Friends of International
