SUMIDA CORPORATION OPENS SECOND FACTORY IN GUANG NGAI,
VIETNAM TO EXTEND ITS MANUFACTURING NETWORK
SUMIDA CORPORATION (“Sumida”) announced today that it has set up a new plant in Quang
Ngai, Vietnam. This plant will maintain a close link with the existing Haiphong factory and
enlarge the scale of non-China production site. It will also meet the needs of customers who
require geographical alternatives in terms of manufacturing sites, and it will allow Sumida
to diversify its manufacturing base and improve its cost structure
Sumida’s subsidiary which will run the plant is CONG TY TNHH DIEN TU SUMIDA QUANG
NGAI (SUMIDA ELECTRONIC QUANG NGAI CO., LTD.).The general director is Mr. Yoshiyuki
Tsuboi. The plant will produce electronic components like power transformers, choke coils,
etc. for the power solutions business of Sumida. It will have 1,000 employees, when the
plant is up and running, and up to 3,000 if it is fully utilized.
