New this past fall, we are offering a six session training opportunity for any child
care provider. All providers are welcome to attend any or all of these individual
training evenings. Registration is required as spaces are limited

This is a free, comprehensive prenatal and parenting program that starts
during pregnancy with prenatal classes and continues after the birth of your
child. The prenatal series is once a week for seven weeks. We break for
two months while the babies are being born and reconvene one time afterwards focusing on life with your newborn. It is staffed by a health care practitioner and a parent educator. We are currently looking for families who are
having their babies in July or August, 2015.

This workshop is led by a Public Health Nutritionist/Registered Dietitian from
the Peterborough County-City Health Unit. Learn about newly released recommendations from Health Canada on starting solid foods. Find out how

The Gentle Art of Infant Massage
Parent-Child Mother Goose
PALS - Family Literacy Program
Making Learning Fun!
This course, developed by the International Association of Infant Massage® will give you the tools and information you need to communicate
with your baby through loving touch. Please bring a waterproof mat or pad,
a soft blanket or towel, and your baby! Oil and handouts will be provided.
This program is designed for infants aged 1 to 8 months old.
This is a group experience for parents and their babies up to 1 year of age
focusing on the pleasure and power of using interactive rhymes, songs and
stories through the oral tradition. Parents gain confidence as they help their
babies learn language and communication skills in this program.
Cuddle… Communicate… Connect...
A multicultural, family-based program that will help your child with language, literacy, and math by discovering different languages and cultures. For parents and their children in JK up to Gr. 1 to enjoy together.
Each evening there will be stories, crafts and activities.

Are you wondering what to expect from your baby from birth to 1 year?
This is a six week group for parents and babies. Get together with other
parents to talk about your experiences. Play with your child, learn songs
and rhymes and have fun together. We will have a discussion each week
that focuses on healthy development.
This is a 4 week group for parents and their toddlers 1-3 yrs. These years
can be very challenging for children as well as the adults caring for them. In
this program parents will have the opportunity to play with their child. Each
week there will be activities designed with toddlers in mind. During the
morning, parents will have the opportunity to discuss how to support children
through their toddler years.
