Jeju Island is the largest volcanic island in Korea. Officially
called Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, this premier tourist
destination boasts mild weather, as well as scenic beauties of
beaches, waterfalls, cliffs and caves. Some of the top tourist
sites include Hallasan National Park with a largely diverse species
of flora and fauna, Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak with breathtaking
views, and Manjanggul Cave, the world’s longest lava tube that
has been registered as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage.
Meanwhile, Jeju has recently won the Global Geopark certificate,
and also has been selected as the New7Wonders of Nature.

Welcome Message
Welcome to APIEMS 2014 to be held in Jeju City, a beautiful
island located at the most south of Korea. It is our great pleasure
to organize the 15th Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering and
Management Systems Conference (APIEMS 2014). APIEMS 2014,
which is organized by Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers (KIIE),
is an official conference of the Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering
and Management Society (APIEMS). APIEMS conferences have
rapidly emerged as an important forum for exchange of ideas and
information about latest developments in the field of industrial
engineering and management systems among professionals
mostly from Asia-Pacific countries. APIEMS 2014 conference
encourages contributors to address the topical theme: Sustainable
Industrial Systems and Big Data Management. Papers will
represent the latest academic thinking and successful case
examples. The wider audience will benefit from the knowledge
and experience of leading practitioners and academics in this area.
The conference seeks research contributions from researchers,
educators, modelers, software developers, users and practitioners.
We hope that you enjoy participating our conference (APIEMS
2014) in Jeju.

Submission
Authors should electronically submit their abstracts by accessing
the website www.apeiems2014.org. The abstract should be
submitted in a text format, limited to maximum 300 words.
Later, the full paper should be submitted in MS WORD format,
maximum of 8 pages including pictures and tables (double
columns, font size 10). The first page of the full paper must
contain the title, names and affiliations of the authors, their email
addresses, and maximum five keywords. Please identify the
corresponding author and provide the full contact information
including email address. The selected papers from APIEMS
conference proceedings will be published in our official IEMS
journal. For further information, please refer to the website.
