Controls Statutory Scaffolds/Working platforms where used, inspected and entry in Register F91. Safe use of ladders, hop ups etc. Electrical checks on equipment, low voltage to be used on site. Head protection (for general site conditions as necessary). Other Controls Feet - site is foot protection zone, safety boots to be worn. Manual Handling: Sheet materials - load out by machine close to point of use, use of mechanical aids, operative to receive kinetic handling training. Bags of materials - consider smaller bags Consider use of PPE (gloves) when handling metal sections or sawn timber studding. Dry and wet materials, jointing compounds - avoid contact, good personal hygiene. (COSHH Assess) Consultation Above to be discussed at a brief pre-work meeting with employees. Documentation No special documentation required. Implementation Supervisor/operatives to check that access to working areas is safe. Information Instruction New employees - induction on company policy and procedures, and for safe working before permitted to work. Training Ensure operatives receive kinetic handling briefing. PPE Hard Hat if required, Gloves if necessary (drylining). Monitoring Supervisor to occasionally check site arrangements during progress of job.
