Wordsworth Spring 2015 – TEXT ONLY VERSION
DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” - Maya Angelou
I used to think that the realm of creativity belonged only to those artistically-gifted people in
my art class, or to one of my friends who could play just about anything on the piano. But I’ve
learned over the years that creativity is much more than having talent with a paint brush or
knowing how to play Claire de Lune in any key.
As Steve Jobs simply put it, “Creativity is just connecting things.” Creativity has transformed the
world of technology and business. To this point, Nobel laureate in economics and Yale
University Professor of Economics Robert Schiller, states that “Ultimately, economic progress
depends on creativity.”
Launching in Spring 2015, our new Creativity Centre at the Georgetown Branch will help you
connect and create with the latest technology. In its first phase of development, it will feature
dedicated space, equipment and software to help you scan photographs and slides to a digital
format, transfer VHS video to digital format, and use photo and video editing software. Watch
for more updates about this exciting new initiative on our website.
We are the ideal place to unleash your creativity. Let us help you get started your project today.

**Oscar Nominee**Boyhood: Tuesday, March 17th at 7:30 pm, rated 14A
Filmed over 12 years with the same cast, Richard Linklater's Boyhood is a groundbreaking story
of growing up as seen through the eyes of a child named Mason (a breakthrough performance
by Ellar Coltrane), who literally grows up on screen before our eyes. Starring Ethan Hawke and

Samantha, Boyhood charts the rocky terrain of childhood like no other film has before.

and Rob Brydon-or semifictionalized versions thereof-on a restaurant tour around northern
England. In this witty and incisive follow-up, Winterbottom reunites the pair for a new culinary
road trip, retracing the steps of the Romantic poets' grand tour of Italy and indulging in some
sparkling banter and impersonation-offs.
Magic in the Moonlight: Tuesday, June 16th at 7:30 pm, rated PG

worse, he might be falling in love with her.
