We are thrilled that you will be joining us this summer! Whether you are coming for one of our Traditional
Sessions, Coed Camp, Golf Camp, Tennis Camp or Family Camp…we look forward to seeing you! We
hope you are excited, too! Did you know that some staff will arrive in mid May to help with all the fun
tasks in getting camp ready for the season? There are docks and boats to go in, tons of leaves to rake,
buildings to clean and paint, activity areas to set up, horses to ride and feed – so much to be done indeed.
Yet it all comes together and then the FUN begins when you, our campers, arrive.
Are you included on the enclosed roster? We hope so. While space is tight in some sessions, there is still
time to have the “best summer ever”! Just let us know or go online and check out all the options. Have

In addition to our daily activity program, weekly
“Special Days” add excitement, festivities and variety
to camp life! Special Days give you an opportunity to
participate and celebrate in a special theme with the
entire camp. Check out the session line-up below and

Day Dance will allow you to
truly represent your favorite
school, college or professional

Coed Camp is offered to boys and girls grades
2nd through 8th as an opportunity to experience
our traditional camp all together at Camp Lincoln.
Although the environment is coed, the focus still
remains on the development of life skills, learning
new skills via our extensive activity program and
having fun together at camp. Coed Campers
participate in an action-packed eight days of
instructional activities, cool theme nights,
campfires, cookouts, special events and more.

• The new Field Archery Range will be fully ready with all the animals
in place
• The Bike Pump Track has been redone and ready for this summer
• The Intermediate Campfire area has a few new benches and has been
cleaned up
• The Dining Room Tables have been redone and have shiny new tops

• Some new kitchen appliances have been installed in the kitchen
including a steamer for vegetables

Stoxen and his coaching staff cannot wait. With two sessions,
one in June and one in August, these camps provide an
excellent opportunity for developing and improving your
game. Instruction is at Grand View Lodge’s outstanding
teaching facility, and play is on The Pines, Preserve or Garden
Courses – top rated courses in the Midwest.
TENNIS CAM P
Our 38th year for Tennis Camp, with two sessions: August 1116 and 16-21. Are you included? Remember, we take about 18
boys and 18 girls, so space is limited. Along with solid, oncourt tennis, there is lots of camp fun at the bog, sailing, riding,
archery, creative crafts, etc. A great combination! Todd, Eric
and the coaching staff are tops!

Sibling Luncheons.
Now in its’ second year, our Sibling Luncheons have proven to be very popular as they
provide a unique opportunity for brother and sister campers of Camp Lincoln and
Camp Lake Hubert to see each other for a fun social event. They will spend a few
hours enjoying sibling introductions, catch up on each other’s news and play games as
well as enjoy a picnic lunch lasting throughout our regular lunchtime and rest-hour.

Getting into Color Wars spirit.
It is fun for the whole family! Imagine your Grandma running
the Weenie, or your Mom at the Bog or maybe Dad would
look good with a shaving cream hairdo! Consider bringing
the whole family to camp for a weeklong session in August
and try out all of the regular fun camp activities together.
Some activities and events are unique to Family Camp
including the County Fair, our famous BBQ Rib Night, Bingo
Night and Family Skits.

1) How many years have you been with Camp Lincoln and Camp
Lake Hubert? This will be my 4th summer.
2) What is your favorite camp activity? A tie between kayaking
and cool camp cooking!
3) What is your favorite meal at camp? Arrival Day lasagna, but
normal camp days my favorite is definitely nugs and tots!
4) What is your funniest memory of camp? When I was canoeing
on Bass Lake during an activity with some campers and our
canoe tipped in the middle of the pouring rain. We tipped where
it was all covered in weeds and we smelled like dead fish. But
all we could do was laugh and get back in the canoe and keep
going, rain and all, it was quite a fun day!
5) What is your favorite camp song? My favorite camp song with
words is Canadian Wilderness, without words is the Rain Song!
6) How many miles do you travel to come to camp? From school
about 1300 miles, from home about 160 miles.
7) Why are you working at Camp Lake Hubert this summer? I
love what camp can do for kids and staff alike. The ability to
gain life long friends, while enjoying the outdoors of Minnesota
is something that can never be experienced anywhere else but
camp. I love seeing campers return year after year and watch
them grow and develop into the wonderful young people that
they are. I also love seeing new faces around camp and see
them make camp a place they too can call home. Camp has a
special place in my heart and I can't wait to experience that
camp magic yet again this summer!

camp expectations
HOW WILL I ARRIVE AT CAMP?
If you are flying, your parents will see you off
on the plane and then at the Minneapolis
Airport, one of our staff wearing a Camp
Lincoln & Camp Lake Hubert Shirt and usually
holding a Camp Sign will meet you when you
get off the plane. Our staff will stay with you
and help you get to our chartered buses for a
short trip (about 2 ½ hours) to Camp.
If you are coming by bus from the Twin Cities
Area, you will board the bus at Concord School
in Edina and then head up to Camp (about a 2
hour drive). Once you arrive you will: Meet
your cabin staff, call your parents, settle in and
meet the other campers in your cabin
If your parents are bringing you, you will
arrive between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. After check in,
you will meet your staff, settle into your cabin
and meet your cabin mates. Please feel free to
walk around Camp with your parents, so they
can see all of the great things you will be doing!

Your parents may also fax or email you every
day, and mail is delivered daily, except on
Sundays (please see email procedures in the
Parent Packet). Please remember that we
encourage mail, but discourage packages.
WHO WILL BE IN MY CABIN?
You will be with campers who have just
completed about the same grade as you have
and who come from areas all over this country
or the world, so you can start to make a group
of new friends right away.
There are also four or five of our great staff who
live right in the cabin with you and they are
there to make sure you feel safe and to help you
have a really fun and great time while at camp.
Campers attending for four weeks will be in
different cabins than campers coming for two
weeks. Tennis and Golf Campers have their
own cabins, too!
HOW DO I CHOOSE MY ACTIVITIES?

Once you get to camp, your staff will help you
choose and sign up for activities (up to four
each day), which are repeated for three days in
a row. Then, you will have another chance to
sign up for the same activities or a whole new
set of activities for the next three days. It is a
great system that allows you to learn new things
and then continue or try something else for the
next three days. Start thinking now about what
you might want to sign up for on the first
day…Summer will be here before we know it!

Are you a member? It is easy to become one! Just
refer a friend or neighbor, and you automatically
become an Honor Roll Member of the Booster
Club. If that friend or neighbor enrolls, you can
