Citibank Credit Card Promotion
Terms and Conditions ("these Terms and Conditions")
Promotion Period
1. This promotion organized by Citibank Berhad (Co. No. 297089-M) ("Citibank") called the
“Citibank Supplementary Card (movies tickets) Promotion” ("Promotion") shall run from 10
August to 10 November 2012 (both dates inclusive) ("Promotion Period").
Eligibility
2. Subject to Clause 3 hereunder, the Promotion is open to any individual who is a resident of
Malaysia who is a Principal Cardmember holding a valid Citibank Credit Card and who during the
Promotion Period, applies for any one or more of the following Citibank Supplementary Credit
Cards for his/her intended Citibank Supplementary Credit Cardmember ("Applicant"):
a. Citibank PremierMiles Credit Card;
b. Citibank Platinum Credit Card;
c. Citibank Cash Back Platinum Credit Card;
d. Citibank Business Platinum Credit Card;
e. Citibank Gold Credit Card;
f. CitiBusiness Credit Card ;
g. Citibank Clear Credit Card;
h. Citibank Choice Credit Card;
i. Giant Citibank Credit Card;
j. Shell Gold Citibank Credit Card;
k. Air-Asia Citibank Credit Card;
Each card shall be referred to as “Citibank Credit Card” and collectively as “Citibank Credit Cards”.
3. The following persons shall not be eligible to participate in the Promotion:
a. Permanent and/or contract employees of Citibank and Citibank’s subsidiaries and related
companies and their respective immediate family members (including parents, siblings
and spouse;
b. Permanent and/or contract employees of TGV Cinemas Sdn Bhd, Golden Screen
Cinemas Sdn Bhd, Cathay Organisation Holdings Sdn Bhd and MCAT Box Office Sdn
Bhd (MBO) their subsidiaries and related companies and their respective immediate
family members (including parents, siblings and spouse; and/or
c. Any person who has committed or is suspected of committing any fraudulent or unlawful
acts on any facilities or services provided by Citibank, including Citibank Online, defined
as www,citibank.com.my
The Promotion
4. For Citibank Supplementary Credit Cards applied from 10 August to 30 September 2012
Subject to these terms and conditions, where the Principal Cardmember and Supplementary
Cardmember has made an application for a Citibank Supplementary Credit Card for the
nominated Supplementary Cardmember and the Citibank Supplementary Credit Card is
successfully approved by Citibank on or before 5 October 2012 makes a purchase of movie
tickets at TGV Cinemas located nationwide will receive a one (1) time Cash Rebate of RM20 for
the first 2 TGV movie tickets purchased (by either Principal Cardmember or the Supplementary
Cardmember) (“Cash Rebate”) provided that:
a. the physical completed credit card application form submitted, together with such clear
and readable supporting documents as may be requested by Citibank (i) by mail to
Citibank Berhad, Internet Card Sales Unit, Level 35, Menara Citibank, 165 Jalan Ampang,
50450 Kuala Lumpur; or (ii) by facsimile to Citibank’s fax number: 03-2383 9084; or (iii) in
person at any Citibank branch or booth set up for the Promotion at any one or more
locations in Malaysia. All the aforesaid documents must be physically received by
Citibank not later than 30 September 2012; and
b. such purchases are made within 60 days of the Supplementary Credit Card approval date
(“Qualifying Period”).
For the avoidance of any doubt, any application received after 31 October 2012 shall not be
eligible to receive any Cash Rebate.
5. For Citibank Supplementary Credit Cards applied from 1 October to 31 October 2012
Subject to these terms and conditions, where the Principal Cardmember and Supplementary
Cardmember had made an application for a Citibank Supplementary Credit Card for the
nominated Supplementary Cardmember and the Citibank Supplementary Credit Ccard is
successfully approved by Citibank on or before 10 November 2012 makes a purchase of movie
tickets at selected major cinemas, meaning TGV, GSC, Cathay Cineplex or MBO (“Major
Cinemas”) located nationwide will receive a one (1) time Cash Rebate of RM20 for the first
movie tickets purchased (by either Principal Cardmember or the Supplementary Cardmember)
(Cash Rebate) provided that:
a. the physical completed credit card application form submitted, together with such clear
and readable supporting documents as may be requested by Citibank (i) by mail to
Citibank Berhad, Internet Card Sales Unit, Level 35, Menara Citibank, 165 Jalan Ampang,
50450 Kuala Lumpur; or (ii) by facsimile to Citibank’s fax number: 03-2383 9084; or (iii) in
person at any Citibank branch or booth set up for the Promotion at any one or more
locations in Malaysia. All the aforesaid documents must be physically received by
Citibank not later than 31 October 2012; and
b. such purchases are made within the Qualifying Period;
For the avoidance of any doubt, any application received after 31 October 2012 shall not be
eligible to receive any Cash Rebate.
6. For the avoidance of doubt, "successfully approved" means that the Applicant's credit card
application has actually been approved by Citibank and a Citibank Credit Card is being or has
been issued to the Applicant. Conditional approvals of credit card applications which may be
received by an Applicant from Citibank are not deemed to be successfully approved credit card
applications.
7. For avoidance of further doubt, the application for a Citibank Supplementary Credit Card must be
submitted by the Principal Cardmember for the benefit of the Supplementary Cardmember and
such application must be signed also by the Supplementary Cardmember. These terms and
conditions will bind the Principal Cardmember and also Supplementary Cardmembers upon the
successful approval of the Supplementary Credit Card application made and/or any one of them
making a purchase of movie tickets at selected Major Cinemas during the Qualifying Period under
and pursuant to this Promotion.
8. Citibank reserves the right to approve or reject as it deems fit any application and/or the
supporting documents as requested by Citibank. For the avoidance of doubt, Citibank reserves
the right to determine as it deem fit if the supporting documents are sufficiently clear for purposes
of the approval
9. An Applicant may verify and confirm the relevant card approval status by contacting Citiphone at
the following telephone numbers: 03-2383 0000 (Kuala Lumpur), 04-296 0000 (Penang), and 07268 0000 (Johor Bahru) (“Citiphone”).
The Cash Rebates
10. RM20 Cash Rebate will be given to the first movie ticket transaction made by either Principal
Cardmember or the Supplementary Credit Cardmember and will be credited into the Principal
Cardmember’s Citibank Credit Card within 6 to 8 weeks at the end of the Qualifying Period.
11. The following terms and conditions apply to the Cash Rebate:
a. The Cash Rebate awarded will be reflected in his/her Principal Cardmember’s monthly
credit card statement within 6-8 weeks after the end of the Qualifying Period.
b. If there is any dispute or non-receipt of the Cash Rebate, the Principal Cardmember is
required to contact Citiphone by 30 November 2012 at the latest to request an inquiry. No
request for any inquiry will be entertained after 30 November 2012.
c. The Citibank Credit Card account(s) of the Principal Cardmember must be in good
standing during the Promotion and Qualifying Period in order to be entitled to receive the
Cash Rebate.
d. Each Principal Cardmember is only entitled to receive the Cash Rebate ONCE for the first
movie transaction made, regardless of the number of movie ticket purchased in that
particular single receipt under the Promotion and Even if a Principal Cardmember has
applied for more than one (2) Supplementary Credit Cards .
e. The Cash Rebate earned is not exchangeable for cash, credit or in kind, in part or in full.
f. The Principal Cardmember is not allowed to transfer or sell his/her right to the Cash
Rebate to any other person.
12. Citibank reserves the right to disqualify a Principal Cardmember or a Supplementary
Cardmember, as it deems fit, from participating in the Promotion and/or from receiving or using
the Cash Rebate or cancel the Cash Rebate earned by any Principal Cardmember:
a. where the minimum payment under any of the Principal Cardmember’s Citibank credit
card account(s) (including any Citibank Credit Card) has been due for 30 days or more;
b. if any the Principal Cardmember’s Citibank Credit card account(s) is closed by Citibank
for any reason whatsoever;
c. if the Principal or Supplementary Cardmember has committed or is suspected of
committing any fraudulent or wrongful acts in relation to any Citibank credit card
account(s) or any other Citibank services or facilities including Citibank Online, as defined
in the Website (as hereinafter defined); and/or
d. if the Cash Rebate is awarded to a person who is not eligible to receive the Cash Rebate
in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Disclaimer
13. Citibank’s decision on all matters relating to the Promotion will be final and binding.
14. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in this Promotion, each and every Principal
and Supplementary Cardmember is agreeing that he/she/they will not hold Citibank and its
officers, servants, employees, representatives and/or agents (including without limitation, any
third party service providers that Citibank may engage for the purposes of this Promotion), liable
for any loss or damages that he/she may incur, in connection with the Promotion.
15. Citibank reserves the right to cancel, revise, terminate or suspend the Promotion with notice. For
the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, revision, termination or suspension by Citibank of the
Promotion shall not entitle any Principal and/or Supplementary Cardmember to any claim or
compensation against Citibank for any and all loss or damage suffered or incurred by any
Principal and Supplementary Cardmember as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation,
revision, termination or suspension.
16. Citibank will not be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, riot, strike, lockout, industrial
action, fire, flood, drought, storm, epidemic, pandemic, technical or system failure or any event
beyond the reasonable control of Citibank.
17. Citibank reserves the right as it deems fit to vary or change any of these terms and conditions
with notice. These terms and conditions may be varied or changed by Citibank by way of posting
on Citibank Facebook Webpage or in any other manner deemed suitable by Citibank. The Eligible
Persons who had participated in the Promotion are deemed to have accessed Citibank Facebook
Webpage and/or Citibank’s website at www.citibank.com.my (“Website”) and to have knowledge
of and to have agreed to any changes or variations to these terms and conditions. The Principal
and Supplementary Cardmember agree that their continued participation in the Promotion will
constitute their acceptance of these terms and conditions (as varied or changed).
18. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of Malaysia.
