MARION CATHOLIC –
Hillary Mueller
Senior team leader Hillary was an integral
part of the Lady Irish’s volleyball team in
2009. Lining up in the middle hitter and middle blocker positions, Hillary’s stats include
serving at 90.2% with 34 aces and 111 points.
At serve receive, she is 87.3%; at passing,
92.1% with 159 digs; setting, 95% with 7 assists;
attacks, 83.9% with 287 kills; and 200 blocks. The
senior was awarded 1st Team NWCC, 2nd Team Central District honors, and Central District Senior All Star Game.

ELGIN –
Geoff Adkins
Geoff had an outstanding season for the
Comet golf team by being a leader both on
and off the golf course. As a senior, Geoff
was a medalist in 7 different matches, tied
for 7th in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference
golf tournament, and was 5th in the MOAC
points system. He also received first team
MOAC recognition, as well as being in the
conference’s top 10 for scoring average.
Although a quiet leader, Mason’s strong
work ethic as part of the football Presidents
earned him 1st Team Offense for both the
North Central Ohio Coaches Association
and Greater Buckeye Conference, as
well as 2nd Team all NW District Offense.
Playing in only 8 of the 10 games due to injury,
the senior still posted 1,131 rushing yards …
including setting the school’s single game rushing
total with 302 yards. Mason also scored 10 touchdowns on the season.
Erin Williams
Serving her 4th year as team captain for
the Lady President’s soccer team, Erin
was recently named Player of the Year
for the Greater Buckeye Conference. A
natural leader and role model for her teammates, the senior is the team’s leading scorer by a wide margin. She netted 18 goals
and tallied 5 assists on the season. A talented
and versatile student athlete, Erin has lettered in 4
sports and is an honors student.
PLEASANT–
A 5-sport athlete who is ranked 1st in her
class, Kayla set numerous records as part
of the Comet cross country team in 2008.
The sophomore won both MOAC and
Central District Division 3 meets, and was
named Female Runner of the Year by both
entities. Kayla also had a 4th-place finish
at the Regionals and a 10th-place finish at the
State cross country meet. She was awarded 1st
Team All Ohio and Academic All Ohio honors for her efforts.
MARION CATHOLIC –
Adam Rhoads
Even though this was Adam’s 1st year playing
football, he was vocal, enthusiastic, named
team captain, and called all of the defensive
coverages. As a defensive back, Adam had
9 solo tackles, 6 assists, 2 fumble recoveries, and 3 interceptions. Offensively at wide
receiver, Adam had 40 receptions for 818 yards,
and 4 touchdowns. He also had 22 rushing yards.
The senior was awarded 2nd Team NWCC, 1st Team
Central District, and Honorable Mention All Ohio accolades.
Leci Lutz
Leci had a strong senior campaign for
the Rocket football team, always striving
to help his team succeed. He led the
Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference in offense
with 28 receptions, 471 yards and 5
touchdowns. Leci also led the conference
in defense with 14 sacks, 17 tackles for loss
and 56 total tackles. For his efforts, Leci was
voted 2nd Team All Ohio in Division V, 1st Team All
Regional, and 1st Team all MOAC.
RIDGEDALE –
Caitlin Farley
The heart and soul of athletics at Ridgedale
during her athletic career, Caitlin is a hard
core player and leader for the Lady Rocket
volleyball team. The senior led her team in
many categories. She had an 85% serving
percentage with 16 aces, passing at 87%,
and had 182 digs and 91 kills. For her efforts,
Caitlin was awarded 2nd Team Mid-Ohio Athletic
Conference and Honorable Mention Central District.

Kayla Mohr
RIDGEDALE –
Jake Lawrence
A senior, Jake had a great year for the Spartan
football team. Jake was named 1st Team
MOAC and Player of the Year for the league.
He was also awarded 1st Team Central
District and named Defensive Player of the
Year. The North Central Ohio Football Coaches
Association chose Jake as a 1st Team recipient
and Defensive Player of the Year. His final award
was a 1st Team selection for All Ohio at the linebacker position.
RIVER VALLEY –
Zach Lathrop
After missing the entire cross country season last year due to a knee injury, Zack
rebounded beautifully and consistently
placed among the leaders for the Vikings
at nearly every race. He led the RV team
that won the MOAC and Central District
Championships, and placed 14th at the State
meet. The senior was named 1st Team MOAC
and 1st Team All District, and set a school and
Central District Championship course record with a time of 15:58.
RIVER VALLEY –
Brittany Stone
Brittany had a great year as part of the
Lady Viking volleyball team. On the
season, she was 207 of 234 at serve for
an 88% average and led her River Valley
team with 27 aces. Brittany also led her
team in serve receptions with 247 of 325
for a 76% average. The senior was 88%
in passing with 67 of 76; and had 116 digs.
Brittany was 121 of 151 for an 80% attack average, and posted 23 kills.
PLEASANT –
Natalie Field
Natalie had an exceptional year for the Lady
Spartan cross country team. She placed
4th at the MOAC meet, which garnered
her 1st Team All MOAC recognition. At
Districts, Natalie finished 5th earning her the
right to go to Regionals. There she placed
10th with a time of 19:44 – her best of the year.
At State, the junior came in 32nd and earned All
State Academic Honors for her State meet participation and GPA above a 3.5.
