April 7, 2009
To Our Online Banking Customers:
To better serve you and to improve your online banking experience we are upgrading our Online Banking system.
During the weekend of Friday April 17 thru Monday April 20, 2009 we will transition your current online banking account to our new system. We’ve enclosed a Quick Step Guide to walk you through the first time login experience. Keep that by your computer as a reference.
In addition to the current features that make Online Banking so popular you’ll enjoy fewer clicks and screen loads, quick action icons, improved security and faster navigation through the system. You’ll hear more about the new features in the coming weeks, but we want to take this time to alert you to some key dates and actions you may need to take.
Interruption of Online Banking Services
Beginning Friday April 17 at 5:00 PM until Monday April 20 at 8:00AM you will not have access to your online banking. You can still retrieve your account balance and transaction information by using our telephone banking at 888.518.4636. Please visit our website, www.firstbancorp.com
, for instructions on how to use telephone banking.
New Login Experience
You will still be able to use your current login ID; however, you will have to choose a new password.
Business Customers will no longer use a Company ID . During your first login, you will be required to obtain a Secure Access Code. Please refer to the enclosed quick reference guide for further instruction.
Secure Access Codes will be delivered by either telephone or email. Be sure to update your contact information with First Bank Customer Service if you haven’t already done so by calling 866.792.4357.

If you are a Bill Pay user all of your current biller and payment information will be converted for you. Your bill history, billers list and recurring payments will remain the same; however, you will not be able to access your bill pay account, make any changes to your current bills or add billers or payments after

Future Dated and Recurring Transfers
You will have to re‐establish any future dated or recurring account‐to‐account transfers, but you will find more flexibility and transfer options with the new system. Instructions on how to set‐up transfers can be found at www.firstbancorp.com/onlinebankingFAQ .
Quicken and QuickBooks Access
We are happy to announce that First Bank will be able to offer Express Web Connect as a new feature of the Quicken and QuickBooks experience. This should enable faster downloads. Access to Quicken and
QuickBooks will be restored on Monday April 20. You will find it necessary to reset your online services within your Quicken and QuickBooks. It may be necessary for you to contact Intuit Support for assistance.
• Account Aggregation
You will have to re‐establish your account aggregation (linked external accounts). However, we will be introducing an expanded Yodlee personal financial management system that will provide you the opportunity to automatically categorize transactions, create reports comparing expenditures to budget and track your net worth.
Some of the exciting new online features include:
Quick Action Lightning Bolts These icons will be available throughout the new system. Need to move money between accounts? Click the lightning bolt on the first page next to the account. Two clicks and it’s done.
Improved security that’s easier to use – you don’t need to remember your responses to special questions and you’ll be able to safely and securely re‐set your own password should you need to.
Better navigation . No dead‐ends after you complete a transaction. You won’t need to back your way out of a confirmation page to figure out where you are. The latest .NET technology which translates into fewer clicks and faster screen loads.
E Statements . You will now be able to “Go Green” with E Statements Online. Check out our website for additional details.
At First Bank and First Bank of Virginia we strive to bring our spirit of community banking to your online experience. We understand your desire for online banking to be secure, accurate and convenient. Overall you will see more features, better security and a cleaner look that is better organized.
Thank you for your patience during this transition.
