Our Program
Each year our Annual Membership Meeting & Convention provides a terrific opportunity to network with other
industry members, learn about legislative and regulatory developments that affect our industry, and just get
away from the office for a couple of days. Join us in Covington this year, and we encourage you to bring the
whole family and enjoy the weekend.
Registration Fees
Convention registration fees are $125 per adult (this includes spouses and guest) & $50 per child. This is the
perfect setting to bring the family. KAMC/OAMA have planned so many fun-filled activities for family and
friends to enjoy ~ YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS IT!

‘EDUCATION’
“KAMC Legislative Report”- A representative from the Kentucky Retail Federation will give an overview of the
2011 legislative session and political climate in KY.
Jim Watkins - He pioneered microwave popcorn in his former company Golden Valley Microwave Foods and now
controls POPZ Holding LLC.
Federal Legislative- information on Federal issues facing today’s vendors supplied by Sheree Edwards in your
materials
NAMA Update- Mary Lou Monaghan, NAMA Association Services Manager, will give a brief update on upcoming NAMA
events.
‘ENTERTAINMENT’
Kentucky vs Ohio Golf Challenge – practice your skills for this state golf challenge. Make your state proud!!
Reds/Blue Jay Baseball Game - join us on the River Boat Deck at the Great American Ball Park to partake of America’s
favorite pastime – a good ol’ ballgame!
Duck Boat Ride-Join us for an original land/water sightseeing tour of Covington, Cincinnati & even into the Ohio River.Meet us in the lobby for a sightseeing tour like no other.
Dinner Cruise- ‘Come Sail Away’ with us for a relaxing evening on the ‘open sea’.

If you are not a golfer and in town Friday there are many things to do in the area. Here are a couple of
suggestions that the 2011 convention attendees enjoyed.
Lunch Date?– there are many nice places to grab a bite with friends in Covington area
Coney Island-Spend a day acting like a kid again! Go back in time and let loose for an afternoon of good
ol’ family fun! Rides, Games, Worlds Largest Circulating Swimming Pool, Pedal Boats, Bumper Boats and
much more!
Newport Levy-Something for everyone is available here. Unique shops to browse, bowling, arcades, so
many things to choose from to do with your friends and family.
Aquarium-Be a kid again and revel in the beauty of the underwater world. Definitely an adventure!

Join us at the Great American Ball Park for the Reds/Blue Jay game. We have reserved the
River Boat Deck. Transportation for the hotel will be provided by TANK, the shuttle service that
runs for all games.

Council of Retail Merchants will bring us up to date on any legislative issues in our states.
