Read pages 7 & 8 of Lab 2 – “Using the Microscope”
3. Lab safety rules/waiver


Read and sign the Lab Safety Rules/Waiver form that is on the Biology Assignment page
on the Cornerstone website and attached to this email.
Turn the rules/waiver form in on the first day of class.
4. Biology Course Description

Read the Biology course description on the Cornerstone website and take note of what to
bring to class and what supplies are needed.
5. Write your name on the Biology – God’s Living Creation, Student quiz booklet and
turn it in on the first day of class. These will be kept at Cornerstone.

Notebook Suggestion for Section Review/notes:
Use a 3 ring binder with 24 tabbed dividers, one for each of the 24 chapters in the textbook.
Label each divider with the numbers 1-24. When you have completed each review section, label
your paper with the section number (example: 1.1) and place the completed review behind the
appropriate chapter tab. When it comes time for review, you will have all the review pages in
order and in an easy-to-find format. This notebook can also be used for taking notes in class.
Just put extra notebook paper in each chapter section. The notes from class and the section
reviews will be in the same place.
Flash card suggestion
To help keep your flash cards organized, put the chapter number in the one of the upper corners
of the flashcards.
