I believe that NetJets and its 1,300 local employees is one of Columbus' best kept
secrets, and it's been a quiet, unassuming city gem for quite some time.
In 1964, when a gallon of gas cost just 30 cents, Executive Jet Airways was formed
with Board members that included the likes of General Curtis LeMay and actor Jimmy
Stewart. Operating out of Port Columbus, the company that would eventually become
known as NetJets was founded as the first private corporate charter and aircraft
management company in the world.
In the late 1980s this leading-edge business created the concept of fractional aircraft
ownership, which now serves as the company's flagship line of business. Today
NetJets flies to more than 170 countries and serves more than 7,800 clients worldwide
who are the most successful individuals in business, sports and entertainment.
And all of this is coordinated at the North American operational headquarters at Port
Columbus, which in early 2012 will also be home to the company's corporate
headquarters. NetJets is in the process of building a 140,000 square-foot corporate
headquarters adjacent to its existing operations headquarters. Along with the new
building on the north side of the airport, Bridgeway Avenue will be relocated between
Goshen Lane and the existing NetJets building to facilitate more efficient vehicle traffic
flow.
This new development on airport property aligns perfectly with the long-term master
plan for Port Columbus. It's our vision that the acreage north of the runways be
developed for aeronautical and mixed-use purposes that will bring and keep jobs in
Columbus while providing revenues for continued investment into the operation of the
airport. This NetJets project goes a long way toward making that vision a reality.
A Berkshire Hathoway company the size and reputation of NetJets could call any city
home, and we're honored that NetJets remains committed to its Port Columbus location
and the Columbus community.
Sincerely,
Elaine Roberts, A.A.E.

Delta to Launch Nonstop Kansas City Service in June
Beginning June 6 Delta Air Lines will begin offering daily nonstop service between
Columbus and Kansas City.
"Columbus is a very important market in Delta's global network," said Don Bornhorst,
Senior Vice President of Delta Air Lines. "Travelers have responded quite favorably to
the additional service that Delta introduced in recent months. We will continue focusing
on Columbus as we grow and expand our airline."
Delta also recently added nonstop flights to Cancun and increased service to RaleighDurham from one to two daily flights and its daily Boston frequency from three to four
flights. The airline also offers service to the following cities: Atlanta, Detroit, Los
Angeles, Memphis, Minneapolis, New York (Kennedy and LaGuardia) and Washington
DC (National).
With these air service additions Delta provides 40 daily departures from Port Columbus
to 12 airports, representing more daily departures and destinations than any other
airline at the airport. Delta carries 23 percent of all Port Columbus passengers, second
only to Southwest Airlines.
"Delta has invested significantly in Columbus and we truly appreciate it," said David
Whitaker, Vice President of Business Development & Communications for the
Columbus Regional Airport Authority which operates Port Columbus. "The flights Delta
already provides, along with the planned additional service, gives our business and
leisure travelers more options with high quality service."

Port Columbus Travelers Enjoying Tim Hortons, Cold Stone
Creamery
Port Columbus has become the first airport in the United States to offer Tim Hortons to
hungry travelers. Located in the food court near the entrance to Concourse B, Tim
Hortons offers its signature freshly baked goods such as donuts, muffins, bagels and
gourmet cookies, in addition to a broad menu of sandwiches, wraps and soups.
Travelers looking to satisfy a sweet tooth are in luck with the opening of Cold Stone
Creamery in the food court. Known for its ice cream creations, Cold Stone starts with
the highest quality ingredients and uses its signature process of preparing custom
creations on a frozen granite stone to make a one-of-a-kind treat.
In mid-summer the ever-popular Auntie Anne's and its famous pretzels and dipping
sauces will be available to travelers in Concourse B while the Great American Bagel
will move from pre-security to Concourse C to offer more options to AirTran and Delta
customers.

New Artwork to Be Installed at Port Columbus
The next time you travel through Port Columbus, take a moment to enjoy permanent
and rotating art exhibits by seasoned professionals and budding local artists.
Through June, the work of Columbus artists Hilary Hilario and Kathy McGhee are on
display in the Port Columbus Gateway to The Arts, an exhibit space located on the
ticketing level in the hallway behind MoJoe Lounge. Hilario uses a combination of
printmaking, collage, sculpture and installation to construct portraits of people from
varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Meanwhile, McGhee finds that there is
beauty and a sense of the unknown present in the texture and patterns created by the
intimate view of the subjects of her photogravure work. In June the paintings of Dayton
artist Bridgette Bogle will be on display.
Port Columbus Gateway to The Arts is a collaboration between the Columbus
Regional Airport Authority and the Ohio Art League, which is a non-profit visual arts
organization that coordinates the rotating exhibits on a quarterly basis.
Besides the partnership with the Ohio Art League, Port Columbus has worked with
Columbus City Schools for the last three years to showcase the artistic creations of
talented students of all ages. Student artwork is exhibited in the "gallery" lounge
outside the USO at the entrance of Concourse C and in the hallway between the Big
Ten Conference Shop and Broad & High retail store. Nearly 30 pieces of new artwork
will be installed in late May for the 2011-2012 student art season.
"These partnerships have enriched the aesthetics of our airport with artistic creations
that capture the attention of millions of passengers and visitors," said Angie Tabor,
Manager of Communications and organizer of the art program.
The Airport Authority also works closely with the highly respected Columbus Museum
of Art, which is currently displaying reproductions of work by Columbus native George
Bellows, the most acclaimed American painter of his generation. This artwork is in
addition to permanent pieces, the centerpiece of which is "Brushstrokes in Flight" by
Roy Lichtenstein. Visit the Art Displays section of FlyColumbus.com to learn more
about the many pieces of art sprinkled throughout the terminal for the enjoyment of
airport travelers.
