Grace & Hope Award Nominations The Bible says that we should give honour to whom honour is due (Rom 13:7). At the ACOP Conference in 2010, we announced the inauguration of the Grace & Hope Award. This award is presented at each Biennial Conference to an ACOP-affiliated church that embodies our Fellowship’s vision by “passionately extending God’s grace & igniting hope” in its community. The Grace & Hope Award will be presented to the church that shows creativity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence in a tangible demonstration of the love of Jesus for its community. The church honoured with the Grace & Hope Award will receive complimentary Conference registration for the pastor and his or her spouse, along with $1,000 towards the cost of their travel to the 2016 Conference in Toronto. The church will also receive a commemorative gift suitable for display, acknowledging the church’s achievement. The first recipient of the Grace and Hope Award in 2012 was Pastor Les Fischer and the Strathmore Full Gospel Church. At the Congress in 2014, we honored Pastor Mark Gordon and The Bridge from Kelowna, BC. Nominations for the 2016 Grace & Hope Award should be submitted to the ACOP office by March 1, 2016. Nominations should take the form of a one to two page essay that answers the following questions: 1. What creative means (ministries or programs) are being used? 2. How is grace being extended and hope being ignited? 3. To whom specifically is compassion being shown? 4. What are the results and how are they being measured? 5. What impact is the church having in the community? The nomination should also include the name and the contact information of the nominator. You may nominate your own church or another ACOP church that you feel is extending grace and igniting hope in its community.
