Kiwanis International's global campaign for children is called The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis is eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus. The goal is to save and protect the lives of millions of mothers and newborns. In partnership with UNICEF, Kiwanis and its’ service learning programs will help eliminate MNT and pave the way for other interventions that will boost maternal health and decrease the mortality rate of children around the world. If you have any questions feel free to contact me any time! Spenser Warren Lieutenant Governor – Plains and Shawnee Division Email: smwarren@mail.bradley.edu Cell: (309)-558-9496 Skype: spenswar FELLOWSHIP MNT is caused by bacteria that gain entry into the body during the birthing process due to contaminated and unsafe birthing facilities and practices. Once established in the body, the bacteria multiplies rapidly and produces a poison that specifically attacks the nervous system. Symptoms of MNT include extreme sensitive to all external stimuli and jaw and facial muscles may tighten. By hosting a dance, the Illinois-Eastern Iowa Circle K District hopes to educate and fundraise for Kiwanis International's global campaign. Come and join us as "we groove to ELIMINATE through the night." 2 DATA. CONTACT. RESOURCES.
