This document is divided into 5 sections and explains the Assignment Activity and the types of Assignments. How to submit an assignment in Eagle Online 4 Types of Assignments: o Advance Upload of File o Online Text Assignment o Upload a single file o Offline Activity How to submit an assignment in Eagle Online An Assignment is an Activity type submitted for grading. Once you have logged into your course, click the Assignment link. The Assignment icon is identified by the paper in the hand image Assignments can be seen in the Upcoming Events block Assignments are also highlighted by the due date in the Calendar block Assignment in Eagle Online 2.x 1 Rev. Date: 8/6/13 Types of Assignments There are 4 primary types of the assignment within Eagle Online 1. Advance Uploading of Files (handles multiple single file at one time). 2. Online Text assignment that allow student to type into a HTML textbox. 3. Upload a single file assignment. 4. Offline Activity. Single File Upload 1. In order to quickly understand how to submit an assignment, we’re going to first upload a single file that has already been completed 2. Click on the Assignment title 3. Next page give a summary pertaining to the assignment. Click Add submission button 4. If you are using Firefox or Safari, you can drag and drop the file into the submission box. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will have to browse to find the file. Once found, click Add. Click the Open button, and your file should upload. 5. Click Save Change button 6. On the Submission status page, you’ll see the title of the file you’re submitting. Click, Export to portfolio link. Assignment in Eagle Online 2.x 2 Rev. Date: 8/6/13 Advance Uploading of Files Click on the assignment title. Click Add Submission button. Drag and drop multiple files if you are using Firefox or Safari. If you’re using Internet Explorer, you must upon individually as many times as needed. Remember to click the Save changes button. Online Text Assignment An Online Text Assignment is not attached a file, but you are responding to something the instructor has left. When you are ready to answer the assignment, you click on the assignment and a textbox opens with familiar formatting tools. Type in your response and click, Save changes Offline Activity An Offline Activity is an assignment performed outside of Eagle Online. The facilitator enters instructions on what is to be done and how to respond. The facilitator can also enter a grade and give feedback after the student’s submission.
