A grade of “A” is given for excellent performance; “B” for above average; “C” for average; “D” for minimally passing performance; and “F” for failure. In addition, “+” and “-“ are used to further differentiate the student’s performance with “+” indicating a superior performance in that letter grade, and “-“ indicating a slightly weaker performance in that letter grade. Other grades include “P” (pass) and “S” (success). Attendance is also an important part of the grades for each course, and if a student misses out on more than 1/6 of the total class hours, the student will automatically receive a “F”. The grade will become a part of your permanent record at Ewha. The university reserves the 9 right to ask any student to withdraw and to return to their home country if he or she fails to maintain satisfactory academic standards or behavior stipulated by the university regulations and the Korean laws. 5) Credit Transfer & Transcripts Credits earned at Ewha can be transferred. Please consult with your study abroad advisor or academic advisor at your home institution for regulations concerning credit transfer. The official transcript will be sent to the home institution for exchange students, and to the home address for visiting students. Please make sure you notify the program coordinator of the address to which you need your academic transcript sent (in the case it is different from the address to which the admission packet was sent) before the semester ends. Please note that no transcripts will be issued before all personal responsibilities - full payment of all fees, dorm key return, books return - are cleared. Once everything gets cleared, the transcripts will be sent towards the end of July 2013. 10 IV.
