ADVANCED PLACEMENT
PROGRAM
Advanced Placement was established in the
1950’s for enrichment beyond US high school curriculums.
It is a program of challenge that emulates post-secondary rigour.
The exams, written in Grade 12, are based on a 5 point scale.
It provides flexibility to meet localized curriculum requirements
AP exam results are recognized in over 60 countries.
Students can attain credit at 63 Canadian post-secondary institutions.
