CHERRY CITY CLOGGERS
BEGINNER CLASS REGISTRATION INFORMATION
If you ever wanted to have more fun than you can imagine (without a partner) – this
is the class for you!!! You will learn lots, have fun, dance, and develop new
friendships along the way. For most of us, that fellowship is as important as the
dance. Now, some welcome aboard information:
When:


Beginner class starts Tuesday, February 16. 2016
Time: 5:45-6:30pm every Tuesday through May 31, 2016.
Where:
 Salem Square Dance Center, 3695 45th Ave Ne, Salem
 Parking is limited. Please park “snugly” to the car next to you.
First Class Night:

Please arrive between 5:00pm and 5:45pm so we have to time to process everyone,
answer questions, etc. before class starts at 5:45pm.
Forms:


You must complete the “Registration Form” a week prior to the “start date”, available
on line at www.cherrycitycloggers.com for a discounted fee. You can sign up at the
door for full registration fee.
Return, with payment, to Glee Johnson (address on form). Glee must receive your
mailed Registration Form by Monday, Feb 13th to qualify for the pre-registration fee.
We do not accept credit card payments.
Registration:
 Class size is limited, so paid registrations will be admitted on a first come, first serve


basis.
Returning the registration form without payment does not guarantee a spot in class.
Registration fees are $10 higher at the door and will be accepted, space permitting.
Please pre-register.
Children/Families:
 We encourage the whole family to join. Clogging is a fun family activity that combines


a love of dance with a “side order” of great exercise.
Children must be at least 8 years of age to be in the Beginner Class.
If children under 16 are enrolling, an adult parent or guardian must be present at all
times to supervise them so they do not wander off or distract others .
What to Wear:


Comfortable clothing
Comfortable shoes. No black soled shoes allowed.
Shoes:




No black soled shoes allowed
Sneakers or some comfortable, “fairly” smooth soled shoe. A shoe with “waffle soles”
will be hard to glue taps to.
“Real “ clogging shoes are not required. Save that for when you’re “hooked” on
clogging
Shoes, such as tap shoes, are not allowed if the taps are nailed unto the shoe or it has
a black sole
Taps:




Clogging taps will be sold at class or through pre-registration. They are $15/pair.
Taps are glued on. You will receive instructions at class on how to glue your taps on.
Nailed on taps are not allowed.
Someone will be at the door each Tuesday to check your taps to insure they do not
damage the floor.

Refunds:



Sadly, if you decide clogging is not for you, you will receive part of your registration
money back.
You must notify the CCC Treasurer no later than March 15. We will deduct $5.00/class
that you had attended up to that point.
No refunds after March 15.
