The evidence for the reliability of the Bible ranks as history’s
greatest marvels. The evidence for the Bible is so vast, and so
reliable, it can only be attributed to a supernatural, sovereign
Hand. There exists over 6,000 Greek manuscripts of the New
Testament.ThenextworkofantiquityisHomer’s IIiad with650
manuscripts,whilemostancientworksnumberinthesingledigits.
SomeofourNewTestamentmanuscriptsdatetowithin30to50
yearsofthe“originals.”TheNewTestamentcanonwasrecognizedatleasttwocenturiesbeforeConstantine.(Canonmeans
theselectedbooksintheBible).The“destroyed”gospelsBrown
referstoaretheoccultGnosticgospels.Theywereneverconsidered scripture – not by any Christian – at anytime.

(p. 147) Wegner also states concerning the councils (such as
Nicaea that Brown claims “canonized” the scripture), “These
councilsdidnotdeterminethecanonicityoftheNewTestamentbooks...” (p.145).Weknowthefourgospels(Matthew,
Mark,LukeandJohn)wereestablishedasscripturebyAD170for
TatianwrotehisHarmonyoftheGospelsthatonlyincludedthese

ignorance of the truth, he states, “The Dead Sea Scrolls were

TheMarriagetoMaryMagdalene
ThebasisofTheDaVinciCodeisthatJesusChristandMary
Magdalene were secretly married. Brown’s evidence for this
madnesscomeslargelyfromLeonardoDaVinci’spainting,The
LastSupper.AccordingtoBrown,thepersononJesus’leftisnot
John,ascommonlybelieved,butJesus’wife,MaryMagdalene.
Brown’s ridiculous reasoning is that Da Vinci’s painting of John
appearseffeminate.
It’samatterofhistoricalrecordandDaVinciwascertainly
awareofthatfact.TheLastSupperpracticallyshouts
totheviewerthatJesusandMagdalenewereapair.

These allegations are the ravings of a man whose scorn for
JesusChristhasrobbedhimofanydiscernmentfortruth.ifMary
MagdaleneisonJesus’right,andnotJohn–thenwhereisJohn?
Thereareonlythirteenpeople(Jesusandthetwelveapostles)in
thepainting.Whereandwhoisthemissingapostle?Notonlydoes
Brownhavetroublewiththetruth,butapparentlyhecannotcount.
DiggingforevidenceaboutMaryandJesus,Brownunearthsthe
gnostic Gospel of Philip. In The Da Vinci Code, Brown quotes the
GospelofPhilipas:
“The inverted five-pointed star within a circle is the
highestformofsatanicexpression,representing
Baphomet,theGodofMendes...”(J.EdwardDecker,

And the companion of the Saviour is Mary Magdalene.
Christlovedhermorethanallthedisciplesandusedtokiss
her often on her mouth. The rest of the disciples were

DespiteBrown’smythicalmadness,thereexistsnoreputable
evidenceontheplanettosupportMaryMagdaleneandJesusChrist
weresecretlymarried.
TheSymbolsofSatanism
While Brown attacks Jesus Christ from “cover to cover,” he
praises theNewAge,WitchcraftandevensymbolsofSatanism.
ThemostrecognizedsymbolinallofSatanismandtheoccultis
the pentagram. Dr. Kathy Burns writes in Masonic and Occult
SymbolsIllustrated,“Satanistsandwitcheslovethepentagram,
and we are told that the pentagram is one of the main symbols of
witchcraftandoccultism.”(p.42)
TheDaVinciCode alsolovesthepentagram.Itopenswiththe
murderofJacquesSuanierewithabloodypentagramdrawnonhis
stomach(p.35).AndBrownsaysoftheocculticpentagram:
