A Special Issue on
“Solar Energy Conversion: From Molecules to Devices”
CALL FOR PAPERS
The sun is one of the most renewable, abundant, and powerful sources of energy, and
solar energy is recognized as a practical alternative to fossil fuels. Efficient methods
and technologies to convert photons into electricity, fuel, or heat are highly desirable.
This special issue concentrates on materials and technologies applied in solar energy
conversion (photoelectric, photochemical and photothermal) including molecular
systems, functional materials, device fabrication, and conversion technologies. We
invite submission of review articles and original research contributions covering (but
not limited to) the following topics:
※ Solar electricity: Practical and emerging materials and fabrication
technologies for photovoltaic devices and solar cells
※ Solar fuels: Molecular design for artificial photosynthesis, Functional
materials for integrated photochemical and PEC devices
※ Solar heat: Developed and promising materials and technologies for
solar-thermal conversion with a potential connection to solar
electricity and solar fuels
