Unofficial Translation Prepared by Emaar Properties PJSC for the Purposes of Nomination for Board Membership – AGM Scheduled on 23 April 2012 Ali Ibrahim Mohamed Ismail Deputy Director General for Planning and Development Affairs Department of Economic Development Mr. Ali Ibrahim holds the position of Deputy Director General for Planning and Development Affairs at the Department of Economic Development of Dubai (“DED”) since 2009. His role is focused on reinforcing the contribution of DED in planning and development as well as securing a convenient environment to develop the business sector of Dubai in addition to leading excellence initiatives in DED and the private sector. Due to his expertise in commercial and investment relations, Mr. Ali Ibrahim chairs the strategic planning committee of the DED and he provides leadership and consultation to a number of its departments. He is also responsible for exploring international economic developments and assessing their impact on Dubai’s competitive position in the region. He supervises the collection and publication of economic indicators in Dubai and business related statistics. Ali Ibrahim is the coordinator of the Economic Development Committee of the Executive Council of Dubai. Ali Ibrahim participated in the working groups which prepared Dubai Strategic Plan 2007 – 2010. Since he joined the DED in 1993, Ali Ibrahim held several positions including Head of Studies and Planning Department, Head of Commercial Registration Department and Deputy Director General for Executive Affairs. Mr. Ali Ibrahim started his career with UAE Central Bank in 1983 in the Head Office in Abu Dhabi where he was promoted on a fast track basis to Assistant Manager for Research and Statistics. Mr. Ibrahim is also holding a number of other key positions such as Vice Chairman of Amlak Finance, Board Member of Emaar Industries and Investment and Managing Director, Emcredit. Mr. Ali Ibrahim holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and English Language from UAE University. He participated in several courses and conferences and joined working groups in International Organizations such as International Monetary Fund. He was one of the first class of graduates of the Government Leadership Program of Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development. He held several positions in the past including board member of Dubai Financial Market, Member of Supreme Insurance Committee and Chairman of Emaar Financial Brokerage and Member of Commercial Agencies Committee.
