AP Economics, both Macroeconomics and Microeconomics courses, are designed to give students a thorough understanding of the principles of economics that apply to the functions of individual decision makers, both consumers and producers, within the economic systems. The AP Economics course is designed to give a complete understanding of the principles of economics that apply to an economic system as a whole. This course places particular emphasis on the study of national income and price determination, and also develops your familiarity with economic performance measures, economic growth, and international economics. 2. The book contains a lot of difficult concepts that students may experience for the first time. Therefore teachers will need to supplement current and real world experiences to make connections for the students. 9. What are the major reasons for the recommendation of this book? It is organized very well, gives real world applications that students can relate to, is perfectly in line with the College Board Course Descrption and Requirements. Includes both Macro and Micro Economics. 10. Does this book replace an existing textbook? No. If so, specify. This is a new course offering for SY 2013-2014 Comments This textbook is recommended by other school districts and by College Board. The book contains short chapters and the AP focused practice questions that will assist students who are interested in this course. This textbook has an extensive question section and provides guidance for teachers to craft AP-like questions to offer insights into what students may face on the test.
