imona is the senior equity research
analyst for the North America
communications technology sector in
Global Investment Research (GIR). She also
leads the Technology, Media and Telecom
equity research team’s efforts in the
emerging technology area and is co-captain
of the Stanford University and UC Berkeley
recruiting teams for GIR. Previously,
Simona was a senior equity research analyst
on the semiconductor team for seven years.
She joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 as an
associate in the Technology Group of the
Investment Banking Division and was
named managing director in 2011.
Simona has been recognized by
Institutional Investor, The Wall Street
Journal and Financial Times as one of the
leading analysts covering the
communications equipment sector.
Simona earned a JD, with honors, from
Stanford University, where she focused on
corporate securities, finance and intellectual
property, and a BS in Chemical Engineering
from University of California, Berkeley,
where she graduated with highest honors
and ranked first in her department. She is a
CFA charterholder.
