Course Title: Combined Level Honors French 4/5/AP
Course Description:
The Combined Level Honors French 4/5/AP curriculum builds on the knowledge and

the beginning and beginning/intermediate French curricula. This course is
specifically designed to meet the needs of students in these advanced levels of French.
The student will solidify his command of knowledge already learned, integrate new
materials, and begin to use the language more spontaneously with more variety and
individual style. There will be expanded opportunity for each student to express
himself in less structured language activities.
Course Enduring Understandings:

him to more effectively communicate along a timeline.
The learner will understand that acquiring a broader range of vocabulary will
enhance his communication.
The learner will understand that language and culture are inseparable.
The learner will understand that communicating in the target language is
essential to second language acquisition.
The learner will realize that knowledge of the target language will enable them
to appreciate literature written in the language.
The learner will assume the responsibility of keeping abreast of current events
in the French-speaking world. The learner will avail himself of internet
resources to improve listening and reading comprehension skills and further
his study of history and culture.
