The common theme at the Foster International Living-Learning Center is an interest in building community through
interaction with people from around the globe (approximately 50% of our students are U.S. and 50% are
international). What excites you most about living in a community with such a diverse mix of U.S. and international
students?

Identify a pressing international issue (environmental, cultural, social, political, etc.) that has captured your attention.
Briefly explain why the issue is one that merits concern.
