Resort Division
Everland Resort was established in 1976 under the name of Natural Farm Amusement Park
as the nation’s very first amusement park for families. Everland’s presence jump-started the
development of the national leisure and service industries. Today, Everland is the industry
innovator, elevating Korea’s entertainment infrastructure to world-class status and setting new
standards for the industry.
Everland Resort, Korea’s first theme park with over 40 state-of-the-art attractions, offers
something for everyone. For instance, Safari World is the world’s only safari park containing
both herbivorous and carnivorous animals. Monkey Valley and Animal Wonder World let visitors
experience different species of animals. Aesop Village follows the theme of Aesop’s fables.
Everland is also known for Caribbean Bay, its top-class water park, and Home Bridge, an
accommodation facility. The variety of attractions at Korea’s most comprehensive leisure resort
provides excitement, education, and relaxation for all ages.
Everland Resort unveiled T-Express in 2008 and the brand-new Aqualoop in 2011, both highly
anticipated for their large-scale investment. The two successful additions to Everland testify once
again to its position as the nation’s most popular theme resort. T-Express was selected as the
world’s most thrilling wooden rollercoaster ride in a recent poll conducted by Mitch Hawker of the
US, while Aqualoop is credited for starting a new era in Korea’s water park industry.
Everland Resort won the Presidential Prize in the Brand Sector of the Fifth Korea Design and
Brand Awards in 2003 organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and the
Korea Institute of Design Promotion. In 2006, it was listed by Forbes as one of the world’s
top four theme parks. In 2008, it was selected as one of the Must-See Waterparks by the
International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. These awards and accolades
attest to Everland Resort’s rapid emergence as a central player in the global market.
Samsung Everland currently operates a total of five prestigious golf clubs noted for their refined
service, including Anyang Benest, Gapyeong Benest, Ansung Benest, Dongrae Benest and Glen
Ross. It continues to lead the progress of Korea’s golfing market based on the brand power of
Benest and its recent expansion into the golf consulting industry.
