Trust vs. mistrust (Infancy 0 to 1.5) Stage 1 I develop trust with my parents, Im learning to trust the people who are caring for me. My parents feeding me helped me develop trust with them both. This is a very important step in childhood. On of the most important steps people can argue is the trust vs. mistrust. Early childhood 2-3 years This is when children starts to or needs to develop a sense of personal control over physical skills and some independance. If you start to expierance some success it leads to having good feelings about yourself. This picture is one of me that shows me being happy and it seems like I have control and begin to develop physical skills like picking things up and moving around. Preschool 3-5 years This is when children begin to develop a sense of control and power, and begin to feel condifdent about their ability in the enviroment around them. The picture of my grandma holding me is when im just starting to realize what is goign on around me and im starting to become more curious. School Age 6-11 This is the time when children need to begin to cope with the new social and academic demands, Its where you start to enter a new phase in your life. You begin to deal with new surrondings. My photo is me on my first day of middle school. I was entering a new phase of my life. I was being introduced to new stresses and expectations in life. It was like opening another door in life. Adolescence age 12-19 This stage is when people begin to develop a sense of self and personal identity. Success leads to being able to stay true to who you are But at the same time failure can lead to loos- ing self confidence and confusion of who you are. In these pictures.. one of me playing baseball and one with my sister it shows me being around and doing the things I love. Playing sports and being around my family. I have been successful up to this point and I enjoy being the person I am. It shows who I am. That is why I picked these photos. Young Adulthood 19-40 Intimacy vs. Isolation This is the stage where people begin to develop rekationships with other people. If you are successful it leads to a very strong relationship. This is the point in your life were you start to build a family of your own. Its where you make a name for yourself. I obvioulsy have not gotten to this stage yet but this picture of my cousin getting married is what I hope to achieve someday. It represents what I want to do with my life. Middle Adulthood 40-65 This is the stage where you create things that will outlast you. Having children or making changes that has a positive affect on people. This is where you have a family of your own and you are wathing your children grow up and become a part of society. I chose this picture of my family because its all of us at my brothers graduation and we are wathcing him enter a new phase in his life and my its cool watching my parents and knowing how proud they are of us. I hope to be in their position someday when I can watch my kids succeed in life. Maturity. 65-Death This stage is you relfection on your life. This is where you look back on life and feel a sense of accomplishment. You do not want to have any regrets on life. This is the final stage in life, and you want to look back and know that you lived life to the fullest. I chose this picture of me with my grandpa because he represents what I want to be in life because he lived life to the fullest and loves his family and was very successful in life and that is what I want to be. He means the world to me and I look up to him alot. There is never a day that goes by where he does not think about how we are doing and is always wanting to help with anythign he can. I could not ask for a better grandpa and can only hope to be as great of a person as him.
