General Information: URL for Motlow’s D2L https://elearn.mscc.edu URL for RODP/ROCC https://elearn.rodp.org
Any class with an R50 or R51 section is an RODP class and will need to be accessed via RODP’s D2L.
Everyone’s login to D2L is the same as their Active Directory username and password. Anytime they have trouble
logging in, make sure they can login to their Motlow email first. If they can login to email, you need to check to make
sure they have an account in D2L. Login to D2L with your username and password.
On the right side frame under “My Admin Tools”, then under “User Related”, click the Users link.
Search for this person’s name or username. The search is very good and will find them by first name, last name, A#,
username, etc. Sometimes a username gets in wrong or no username at all.
Usernames are created in D2L from the 3rd Party ID in Banner and then are pushed over to D2L. If you find a problem
with the username in D2L not matching their Active Directory username, go to the GOATPAD form in Banner. Put their
A#, SSN, or name in and then page down. If their username was wrong in D2L, make sure it is correct here and make
any necessary changes. If there username was not in D2L at all, make a change to their 3rd party ID (I normally add the
letter ‘b’ to the end) and save it, then change it back to the correct ID and save again. This triggers it to be sent over to
D2L. This is better than manually creating the user in D2L because it will make sure the 2 systems are synced up. Once
the username is fixed in D2L, when they try to login it will look to Active Directory for their password.
