LetterwritersmaynotacceptaBragSheetorarequesttowritealetterofrecommendationafter
September1st!
ItisYOURresponsibilitythattheapplicationsareaccuratelycompleted!Youmustbeawareof
deadlines,requirements,opportunities,anddatesofcollegevisitsandopenhouses.Applicationswill

biographicalinformation,extra-curricularactivityinformation,essay,short-answerquestions,and

Therearemanybenefitstosubmittingon-lineapplications:
Convenience
Applicationsaresavedonsecureonweb-basedcomputers(servers)andcanbeaccessedand
completedfromanycomputerwithaninternetconnection.Youcanbeginanapplication,saveit,
andthenreturntofinishitatanothertime.
Speed:
Collegesquicklyprocessonlineapplicationsandyoucanviewwhenyourapplicationmaterials
weresenttoanddownloadedbythem.
Neatness
Onlineapplicationsaremorelegiblethanhandwrittenapplications.Thereisnoneedforuse
correctionfluids,correctiontape,orerasures.Askyouteachersandparentshowtheyusedthese
materials.
Accuracy
Mostonlineapplicationshaveanautomatedapplicationcheckertodetermineifyouomittedany
partsorquestionsontheapplication.(However,donotrelyonthisservice,oraspell-checkor
grammar-checktoproofreadyourapplications.)
Safety
Paperapplicationsfrequentlybecomelost“inthemail”andinbusycollegemailrooms.Youwill
receiveareceipt,proofofsubmission,andusuallyanemailverifyingreceiptoftheapplicationafter
itissuccessfullysubmitted.
