Sen. Johnny Isakson (R)
In Congress since February 23, 1999 (in Senate as of January 3, 2005)
Served three terms in the U.S. House before running for U.S. Senate, and
presently sits on the Senate Finance Committee. Prior to Congress served in
the state Legislature as well as chairman of the Georgia Board of Education.
Before politics ran a real estate business for 20 years, and has obvious strong
ties to real estate industry. Sen. Isakso n is a previous member of the Georgia
Air National Guard, is married with three children and nine grandchildren, and
resides in Marietta. Was on the Board of Riverside Bank, member of National
Association of Realtors, advisory board of the Federal National Mortgage
Association, and Mount Zion United Methodist Church -Marietta among
others.

Elected to public office for the first time in 2014, sworn in as U.S. Senator on
January 6, 2015
Senator Perdue is a business leader with 40 years of experience who helped
grow some of America’s most recognizable companies including Sara Lee,

Perdue was born in Macon, Georgia and raised in Warner Robins , the son of
two educators. He received his bachelor's and master ’s from Georgia Tech.

Representative Carter was an active member of the state legislature, first as a
state representative then as a state senator. Prior ser ving in the state
Legislature, Carter served the City of Pooler from the planning and zoning
including the city council until he was elected as mayor of Pooler. He has
served on numerous boards of trustees: the Mighty Eighth Air Force Heritage
Museum, Young Harris College and served as a board member of the Coastal
Bank.
Carter is a native of Savannah. He earned an associate’s degree from Young
Harris College and a bachelor of science in pharmacy from the University of
Georgia in 1980. Carter and his w ife, Amy, have three adult sons: and two
granddaughters. He is a pharmacist with Carter’s Pharmacy, Inc. and is a
Methodist.

Originally from Alabama, Rep. Bishop served in the Army and was a member

Originally from Washington, D.C., Rep. Johnson moved to Georgia prior to
attending college and has been a fixture in DeKalb County. Before being
elected to Congress, Rep. Johnson served 12 years as a DeKalb County
magistrate judge, five years as a county c ommissioner and three years as
chair of the DeKalb budget committee. Prior to politics he practiced law in
