Writing a Poem
By Judith Tafur 4A. Colegio Colombo
Británico
A person I´d like.
Bye, Mike!
Hello, Sam!
Do you know who I am?
Do you look like a ram?
Bye, Sam
There was once a boy named Tim
He had to write a poem
He thought and he thought and he thought
But he couldn’t think of anything
Host: David Fayad, Colegio Bolivar
So he went to bed and
He dreamed and he dreamed and he dreamed
He woke up with a brilliant idea
To write a poem about a kid
Who had to write a poem
Himno Nacional de Colombia & US National Anthem
Unpublished Poetry
He planned out his poem
And he wrote and he wrote and he wrote
Until he was satisfied with it

It was time to present the poem
And he was nervous
So he paced and he paced and he paced
And when he was done
All the class went wild.
Five Senses
By Samuel Lundy 2D
I listen to a bird singing by
Then I listen to an alarm that came from the
farm
Then a boy touches my arm to tell me it’s time
for fun!
Then I touch a frog jumping so high
I see a rabbit hopping by
Then I see someone cry
I smell a mango and a pineapple
Then at the end I taste an apple
My New Friends by Anna Maria Niño,
Colegio Bennett
Hello, Mike!
What are you like?
I think you will be
Mine
Mine,
Fortunately mine,
The girl is mine,
The house is mine,
The teacher is mine,
But I’m property of my mom.

If I were a Dog
By Alexia Deyrolle
If I were a dog,
I can run run run,
in the green green grass.
I can bark bark bark,
in the night.
I can eat eat eat,
my bone gone.
Nature
By Mariana Manzano, Colegio Ingles de Los Andes
Nature, nature
We have to take care of it
If we don't take care of it,
We wouldn't have water to drink
Neither clean air to breathe,
Nor trees to protect us.
If you want to live in beautiful nature
I propose to you
Recycling, reusing and saving
So we can enjoy a better world.

My Cat Mat by Daniela Torres,
Colegio Bennett
I got a new cat!
I named him Mat.
I bought him a hat He is so smart.
I left him on my farm.
I miss him very much.
He always chases a rat I am tired of that!
FRIENDS
By Abraham Villegas and Alan
Izquierdo, Colegio Hebreo
Friends are the most important people in
the world when a person is down.
Friends help each other when they are in
trouble.
They say the right things when a friend
needs advice.
When you argue or fight, you feel so bad
that you have to work things out.
Friends share everything, well almost,
except for girls.
And if with description you still don’t
get what a friend is
Let me show you Alan and me.
MY BEAR
By: Natalia Vargas Hincapié
Colegio Bolivar
My bear my bear
He likes my hair
It’s always sitting in a chair
He sees the stars
He likes the sharks
He is always singing everywhere
My Best Friend
My best friend is tall,
My best friend is happy,
My best friend is friendly,
My best is MY FATHER
By: Luciano Sierra

MY BEAUTIFUL MOM
By Nathalia Correa, Colegio Hebreo
My mom, she is the most beautiful
person in the world.
She is my heart and my soul.
She is the light of my entire world.
When the rain comes, she’s like the sun.
And these words are for you to know
That I have the most beautiful mom in
the world.
THE SUN
By: Sofía Ramirez Artúz, Jacobo
Cuadros Herrera
and Sofía Duque Cartagena, Colegio
Bolivar
Sun is bright
Sun is light
Sun is down when moon comes up
Sun is life
Sun shines
Sun is yellow red and orange
Sun is big
Sun is far away
Sun is a star
Sun is hot and
Keeps up there!

Peace
By María Paz Valencia Fernández, Colegio Ingles de Los
Andes
.
Peace is our big wish
It is not difficult to think
that if we start working as a team
Peace will not be only a dream.
Peace brings joy to our lives
Peace is what I desire
I want everybody to see
This is what we truly need.

THE SOCCER GAME
By: Martin Mejia Bernal, Jose
Miguel Otoya Fischer,
Jacobo Dueñas Viveros and Juan
Rafael Fajardo Patiño, Colegio
Bolivar
One minute till the game is over
Boom! Villa shoots the ball
Ohhh! The goal keeper saves it
30 seconds more tiktoktiktok
Messi shoots the ball GOAL!
Peep! The game finishes
The crowd becomes crazy
The people start screaming
B…A…R…C…A…!
B…A…R…C…A…!
This dream starts with you and me
And everybody that wants to believe
That peace is in our hearts
It's all we have in all our minds.
I have a little cat
A beautiful cat
I play with him
And my cat plays with me
We drink milk in the morning
Because my cat likes milk
I love my cat.

The Old City
By: Tomás De La Vega
Colegio Colombo Britanico 2c
The old city is very big,
and it is great because it is in the South.
In the old city they cook,
but when they are bored they read a
book.
In this city they eat food,
but sometimes they make wood.
In this city there are lizards,
and also wizards.
In the old city they make covers,
but it is work specially for brothers.
In the old city some people are fat,
but some of them are flat.
In the old city there are mice,
but they always eat rice.
In the old city only twice it’s night,
but some people turn on the light.

My Family
By Jairo Andres Ramirez
Segovia, Colegio Ingles de
Los Andes
My family is big
My family likes an animal that
is big
But it will never be a dirty pig
Although my sister prefers pig
meat.
My family is happy in the
swimming pool
My father and I enjoy
swimming together
We play with the ball in the
swimming pool We always
know my father is the winner.
We eat healthy food
Not always obviously
Other families never
understood
That it was the secret of Bruce
Lee.
