The Inspiration for
The Admin Awards is
the Founder’s Mother,
Jeannette Castellano,
a career admin, who
recently retired her
position as full-time
corporate receptionist
just shy of her
80th birthday.
The Core24 Admin Awards® is a unique celebration
that recognizes administrative excellence in nine
award categories, including the program’s most
prestigious award, The Colleen Barrett Award for
Administrative Excellence, which elevates the
professional who embodies the “spirit” and
proficiency of nationally renowned (former) admin,
Colleen Barrett, President Emeritus of Southwest
Airlines, who over the course of her four decade
career climbed from secretary to President and
COO of the legendary, award winning airline.
Colleen was instrumental in creating Southwest’s
famously revered corporate culture and the practice
of legendary customer service both externally, and
internally to company employees.
