SNC 2P - Grade 10 Applied Science A course intended to expose students to human cells and anatomy, chemistry, optics and climate change. Research investigations and lab work will prepare you for future college courses. SVN 3E - Grade 11 Environmental Science Provides students with the knowledge and hands on skills to make informed decisions in the workplace and personal lives. Topics include: energy conservation, environmental impact, human health and resource management. SCH 3U - Grade 11 University Chemistry A problem solving course exploring the properties of matter, amounts of chemicals in reactions, and identifying unknown substances. Be prepared for extensive lab work. Academic math strongly recommended. SBI 3U - Grade 11 University Biology Exploring human, animal and plant anatomy and systems, genetic influences, and the relationship between different species. Lab experiences and a dissection will further develop understanding. SVN 3M - Grade 11 Environmental Science This course is intended to help students to understand their role in environmental issues, realize the impact of the environment on human health and critically evaluate the practices of waste management, sustainable forestry, agriculture and energy conservation. SBI 3C - Grade 11 College Biology Practical hands on biology course covering cellular biology, microbiology, anatomy, genetics and plants. Be prepared for frequent lab work and an animal dissection. Extensive exploration of forces that cause motion, types of energy, electromagnetism and quantum theory. SCH4U - Grade 12 University Chemistry Further explore the structure of atoms and compounds including organic molecules. Investigates reasons behind chemical reactions and influencing factors. Prepares students for post secondary studies with theory and lab work. SBI 4U - Grade 12 University Biology A study of molecular biological processes and their operation on humans, biotechnology and genetics. Grade 11 Chemistry is an asset. Prepares students for post secondary studies. SPH 4C - Grade 12 College Physics Problem solving course that includes many labs and hands on projects to prepare students for college. We explore motion and forces that cause motion, types of energy, communication technologies and electronics. Students who have attained 70% in MBF3C will be better prepared to succeed in this course. SCH 4C - Grade 13 College Chemistry Problem solving course exploring properties of matter, amounts of chemicals in reactions, and identifying unknown substances. Extensive lab work and theory will prepare you for college. College math is strongly recommended.
