This method statement is only valid between 03/04/09 and 03/04/10 inclusive and must
be used in conjunction with any another method statement that details the work
operation.

Site Preparation
•
Client site rules to be understood and obeyed.
How to do the work
To attend the sites in the complete portfolio for the annual drainage flush out services.
To carry out all works required by our fully trained service engineers to clear and clean the drainage systems
including the Aco systems and all relevant chambers.
To carry out the cleaning works with our Super six HPW Jetting machines and also where applicable the Jetchem
Bull dog system.
All engineers are fully trained with licenses for the Confined Space Entry Requirements and the NRSW act 1991.
To lift all relevant chamber lids and to carry out all HPW Jetting services as required with both the Forward and
Reverse jetting systems.
All working areas to be closed with the safety barrier systems.
2 men on site at all times for the safety regulations.
All chambers to be fully cleaned and cleared prior to replacement.
All drainage systems to be fully pressure and water tested to show no blockages prior to completion
All working areas to be closed off to the general public by our Safety Barriers and the full Chapter 8 Signage
around the working areas for the public and the road users information.
All working areas to be left in a clean and tidy state upon completion
When we arrive on site to ascertain the blocked drainage systems we would install the complete chapter 8 safety
signage and barrier systems where required for the safety of the general public and the service engineers.
Once we are in a safe working area we would continue to lift all relevant chamber lids.
The service engineers would source a good water supply for the jetting machine.
The HPW Jetting services would then start with the aid of the insertion tube for the jetting hose safety so no
unforeseen spillage and accidents could occur.
Upon the clearance of the drainage system a CCTV would be carried out if this service is required to ascertain the
condition of the pipe work to check for any defects.
Upon the completion of all works the working area would be cleaned and cleared of any debris and all chamber
lids re-sealed and tested.
All chapter 8 safety signage and barrier systems removed and all areas re-opened to the general public and road
users
