The firm specializes in capacity building and peer learning services, including Board development programs to serve new and established organizations. Carter has worked with boards for 20 years, including consultation, research and publications. He is the author of “Field Guide to Developing, Operating and Restoring Your Nonprofit Board” and is working on a for-profit version of that book. He is one of the pioneers in successfully addressing Founder’s Syndrome among leaders and boards. He is also the designer of the national Leaders Circles peer learning program, based on Action Learning. His “Free Toolkit for Boards” is one of the most popular web sites for Boards and is located in the Free Management Library at www.managementhelp.org on the Web. Carter’s PhD is focused on organization development. Teri McNamara is a co-founding partner in Authenticity Consulting who consults on a wide range of leadership and organizational development topics, including board development. She has co-facilitated dozens of board development and board training projects and edited the “Field Guide to Developing, Operating and Restoring Your Nonprofit Board.” She also has expertise in product and service design, and marketing. She has worked with a variety of nonprofit and community organizations, as well as medium to large businesses.In addition to her consulting work with Authenticity Consulting, Teri manages all aspects of the company’s publications business and oversees the operational side of the business, including marketing, accounting/finance, and contract administration. Ned Cooney of Bigfork, Montana owns an independent consulting practice, Ascent Strategic Development, specializing in organizational consultation and facilitation for nonprofits, community groups, public agencies, and businesses. Most of his career has been in the nonprofit sector, as executive director, program staff, volunteer, and board member. Now, Ned serves many organizations by following his passion for helping people learn and make better decisions together. Ned’s company specializes in organizational planning, program development, funding strategies, support for executives and board members, and meeting and retreat facilitation. Dale Cockrell and Jay T. Johnson are practicing attorneys in Kalispell, Montana with Moore, Cockrell, Goicoechea & Axelberg. Dale’s areas of practice include civil and commercial litigation, insurance and environmental and toxic tort defense. Dale is the past-president of the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers and a past president of the Montana Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Dale currently serves on the board of directors for the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers. Dale has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is honored as a Mountain States Super Lawyer.
