Scholarship Program
The members of NTU Alumni Association and its related entities award scholarships to continuing students each year.
Individuals must apply for scholarships during the academic year prior to the year of funding. For example, the
application deadline for the Fall Semester 2014 academic year is July 31, 2014. Applicants may apply for multiple
scholarships at one time using the application form available from NTU Alumni Association Head Office.
Please note that alumni association scholarships are for tuition only. Students receiving full tuition benefits from other
scholarships, or other sources are not eligible for an alumni scholarship program. Alumni scholarships are for
continuing as well as for new students. All scholarship awards are competitive and we would request you to wait
patiently during the decision time. The following scholarship programs are run by the Alumni Association;
NEED BASED SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded by the members of the association. It is awarded to a continuing student or a new student.
The eligibility criterion is based on financial difficulties a student and/or his family facing in providing him university
education. In return the recipient student has to join Alumni Association after graduation. Recipients must apply at
the start of first semester. The orphans child, sons or daughters of handicap parents or jobless parents are given first
preference. Recipients have to maintain their CGPA 3 to receive scholarship throughout their under graduation course.
The following scholarships are reserved for textile undergraduates
1. Noor-Jahan Scholarship
2. Rafia Sadika Scholarship
The following scholarship is reserved only for polymer engineering graduates
1. T&N scholarship
NEED BASE ZAKAT SCHOLARSHIP
These scholarships are awarded from the zakat fund to those continuing students who deserve it. In return the recipient
student has to join Alumni Association after graduation. Recipients must apply at the start of their first semester
and to receive scholarship throughout under-graduation the recipient has to maintain CGPA 3. Continuing students
can also apply for this scholarship.
UNDERGRADUATE LOAN
Students and /or their families in difficulties can apply for financial assistance from the alumni association. The
scholarship awarded will be an undergraduate loan which student and /or his parents will start repaying NTU Alumni
Association, six months after his graduation. It is the choice of the student and /or his parents to repay the loan either
in monthly installments or in whole. Recipient can reapply each semester for further financial support.

Repayments: The amount of repayment student and /or parents will make, will be determined upon approval. For
example a student borrows Rs 20,000/- from NTU Alumni Association. The amount he’ll pay back to the association
may be say Rs 22,000/-.The repayment plan will be decided and student and/or parents will sign a contract with the
managing committee of NTU Alumni Association.
