Dear Guests and Kestrelflyer Members, Indigo Hotels is a well-established group of business hotels in Mauritius for the discerning business traveller. Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel, the first born of the cluster, opened in the capital, Port Louis, on the Caudan Waterfront in December 1996. Today, the Labourdonnais is the flagship of our hotel brand. This majestic fivestar hotel overlooking the marina offers everything a businessman could aspire to and has become a landmark in Mauritius. In line with a strategy to diversify its product, Le Suffren Hotel & Marina emerged just across the marina in 2004. We like to refer to this property as a city resort as it offers a resort feel in the middle of the city with all the trimmings one would expect or need to conduct efficient business. In 2011, the group added to its portfolio a property strategically located in the heart of the Cybercity in Ebene, namely the Hennessy Park Hotel. Le Suffren Apart’hotel was introduced in 2012. The apartments are the first luxury self-catering apartments on the island, conveniently located close to Le Suffren Hotel & Marina. They are designed for business travellers on a medium to long term stay. The latest addition to the Indigo portfolio is the 4-star Address Boutique Hotel in the residential village of Port Chambly. Conscious of the well-being and healthy lifestyle of our guests, we have created I Spa Fitness & Wellness Clubs at three new venues. They combine gym and spa treatments to satisfy the needs of our guests after their hectic days. I am pleased and very proud to announce a partnership with Air Mauritius. Members of the Kestrelflyer programme will now earn miles while staying in one of our properties. Kestrelflyer members will enjoy other facilities which you will find on the following pages. Today, the Labourdonnais is the flagship of our hotel brand. This majestic five-star hotel overlooking the marina offers everything a businessman could aspire to and has become a landmark in Mauritius. Indigo Hotels is a company that is continuously striving to improve its products and services as well as anticipating and exceeding its customers’ needs and expectations. Indigo Hotels are more than just business hotels, it’s a lifestyle. The management, staff and I are looking forward to welcoming you in our properties with the pledge to ensure that your stay with us will be both a comfortable and enjoyable one. Rolph Schmid Managing Director, Indigo Hotels Not only renowned as a prime tourist destination, Mauritius is now also recognised as a financial centre of excellence, combining better transparency and a good governance with low taxes. On the route to Asia, not far from Africa, lies an island of opportunities named Mauritius. Our location makes us one of the best places to do business in the world, as we are at the heart of a golden triangle of opportunities between Asia, the Middle East and Africa. These markets are sizeable and offer an amazing potential. Our ultimate goal is to become a catalyst for the economic development of the region. To help us achieve this, attracting the best professionals with their specialised knowledge to our shores remains one of our priorities. In addition to this, Mauritius has a proven track record of success thanks to its strong and open economy, and has shown remarkable resilience to external shocks. Not only renowned as a prime tourist destination, Mauritius is now also recognised as a financial centre of excellence, combining better transparency and a good governance with low taxes. Furthermore, our large number of professionals in all sectors gives us a comparative advantage in the region. It is worth highlighting the fact that FDI has constantly increased over the years reaching record levels. In 2012, Moody’s Investor Service upgraded Mauritius’s rating to Baa1 as a result of our proven resilience to external shocks. As an insular state, connectivity remains a challenge for Mauritius. However, we are investing significant efforts into improving our air links with the EU and we are gradually broadening access to Asia and Africa. Moreover, our new airport is now operational, bringing us closer to our objective of becoming an airport hub in the region. It is equally important to mention that our sea port is already one of the safest and most efficient in the region. Bunkering operations have been liberalised in 2013. This gave a huge boost to the shipping industry and increased maritime connectivity. Mauritius has all the ingredients required to become even more successful. We are determined to go the extra mile and stretch our arms even wider to welcome our foreign partners. As testimony of this, we have recently eliminated visa requirements for 75 countries, including 50 African countries. Mauritius has always been and will remain a land of priceless opportunity. The continued participation of high level professionals and quality foreign investment into the development of our country is the ultimate key to our progress. Hon.
