Bio for Emil Wang, JD Emil Wang is currently a Senior Regulatory Counsel to the Director, Office of Compliance and Enforcement at the Center for Tobacco Products, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In this capacity, Mr. Wang serves as the primary legal and regulatory advisor for the regulation of tobacco product manufacturers, distributors, and importers and is responsible for the development and implementation of compliance regulations, policies, programs, and procedures. Mr. Wang's previous FDA assignments include Case Expert in the Office of Compliance at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), investigator at the San Francisco District Office, and scientific reviewer at the Office of Device Evaluation at CDRH. Mr. Wang also has experience as an associate attorney at a private law firm practicing food and drug law. Mr. Wang is also currently a Lecturer at the Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs and teaches courses in Medical Device Regulation, International Regulatory Affairs, Introduction to Regulatory Affairs, and Food and Drug Law. Mr. Wang received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Maryland School of Law and B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.
