My Favorite Singer

My favorite singer is Lee-hom Wang. He’s Taiwanese, but he grew up
in the U.S.A., so he speaks English very fluently. His father and two
brothers are doctors, so his parents have always wanted him to be a
doctor, but Lee-hom isn’t interested in medical science. He loves music and
he’s so talented that he’s good at almost every musical instrument, like
piano, violin, guitar, cello, drum and electric guitar.
He composes all the music and writes lyrics by himself, and he also
directs his own music videos. He enjoys trying new things, too. In fall 2007,
Lee-hom was in a big blockbuster movie. To be a good actor, he practiced
speaking Chinese correctly every day because perfection is his only target.
His spirit really impressed me.
Lee-hom Wang is not only talented but also enthusiastic. He joined
World Vision to help poor people in Cambodia. When he has free time, he
sometimes goes to the charities to visit the sick children. Although he is
so busy, he still tries to find time to help people and take care of them.
Lee-hom is really a great model from whom I can learn a lot.
To me, an idol is a person who teaches right things to fans. Lee-hom
Wang is absolutely a super idol. His music and his spirit affect me a lot.
When I’m in a bad mood, listening to the songs sung by Lee-hom is my best
choice because the lyrics are so meaningful. Besides, influenced by him, I
contribute money to people in need every month. He teaches me lots of
things that I can’t learn from the book. He is my favorite singer and he is
my best teacher, too.
