The Worldline Voucher Management System
(VMS) enables telecom operators to sell different types of services to their subscribers using
prepaid scratch cards or electronic vouchers.
With its innovative features and flexibility it
helps the operator to gain a possible decisive
competitive advantage in the fight for reduced
costs and increased margins.
It can be used by operators that want to
introduce prepaid vouchers to their offered
services as a new payment method and
it is designed as the perfect alternative to
existing voucher management systems
that are no longer suitable for the today’s
business requirements (new business models,
establishing sub-brands / MVNOs, trying out
new marketing models, etc.) and it offers
much better system performance and service
capabilities.
The architecture of the Worldline VMS, based
on open software standards, enables the
operator to reduce OPEX by using low cost
LINUX servers and CAPEX by taking advantage
of the easy extendibility and scalability.
Our Worldline VMS is able to fulfil the requirements of the today’s fast moving market,
such as supporting the management of different voucher denominations (e.g. air time,
SMS and downloads) and different sub-brands
and MVNOs within the same system. The decreasing recharge amounts and the increasing
number of different products require a higher
system performance (validations per second)
which in turn necessitates scalable and highperformance systems like the new Worldline
VMS.

Functionality
The Worldline VMS contains all the
functionalities necessary to support vouchers
as a payment method. It contains the voucher
generation and delivery of the secret code
to partners and the print shops (for physical
vouchers). The second important functionality
is the voucher validation; this means checking
if the entered voucher code is still valid (not
expired and unused) and redeeming the
voucher after the subscriber’s prepaid account
balance has been successfully updated.
Voucher Tracking
The voucher tracking module, which is
responsible for storing all relevant changes to
the voucher status, allows all logistic situations
/ locations of the corresponding voucher within
the operator’s business process to be followed.
Tracking prevents premature redemption and
misuse of vouchers. It can be used to inform
the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and
logistic systems of the changes to the voucher
status (e.g. voucher expiration and redemption)
and financial figures (number of activated,
unused and redeemed vouchers).
Security
The complete Worldline VMS is based on
an enhanced security concept. Nobody
beside the subscriber should be able to have
access to the secret voucher code. Therefore,
the generation, distribution and the storage
of this voucher code has been secured using
advanced encryption technologies (like Key
Generated Keys and PGP). It is based on the
relevant security requirements of the banking
sector.

& Bonus Module
Promotion and Bonus module to enable
bonuses to be issued to the subscribers based
on advanced promotional campaigns.
Multi-Channel Recharge
System
The Worldline Multi-Channel Recharge System
(MCR), as the central control module of the PRS,
enables the operators to offer the complete set
of convenient and highly secure direct top-up
methods to their prepaid subscribers.
E-voucher Distribution
Furthermore, Worldline offers an extension to
its Worldline VMS to include the distribution
of electronic vouchers (Electronic Voucher
Gateway) to different resellers or sales organizations (e.g. street resellers, terminals).
As part of the Worldline Prepaid Recharge
System (PRS) product, the Worldline VMS
