Pay your garbage bill by credit or debit card
You can have your garbage payment to Basin Disposal Inc. or Ed's Disposal Inc. billed directly to
one of your credit cards (we take VISA, Mastercard or Discover). The Auto-Pay service is safe,
convenient and FREE to all customers. In fact you will save money on checks, envelopes, postage
and time. Your payment to us will be automatically billed to your credit card on the 10th of every
other month (commercial accounts monthly).
You will still receive a statement from us which will be clearly marked
"Automatic Billing / Do Not Pay." You may cancel the Auto-Pay-Plan by
notifying us in writing 30 days before the next billing day. Once the
Auto-Pay is cancelled, we will resume our regular billing.
Auto-Pay can also be deducted from a checking account. Call Basin
Disposal Inc. at 509-547-2476 for information, or check our website at

Free Christmas tree
recycling opportunity
Again, this year, Franklin County will be
accepting Christmas trees from December 26 through January 18, 2015 at a
single drop off location in Pasco.
You can bring your Christmas tree
(clean of all ornaments and tinsel) to
the Tri-Cities Cross Country Running
Course in Pasco (North of Pasco Golf
Land on Road 36). Just throw it over
the chain link fence. Trees will be
chipped and will be spread on the
running path to improve the surface.
BDI adds more natural gas trucks to their fleet
Basin Disposal Inc. is in the process of converting its solid waste collection fleet from
diesel to natural gas powered engines. This investment in natural gas fueling will provide
long term benefits to the City of Pasco, and Basin Disposal customers.
We are currently adding more
trucks that are going green with
this cleaner alternative to diesel
fuels.
Cleaner air emissions and quieter
truck operations are just a few of
the many benefits that customers
will see from this advancement.

Start recycling your aluminum cans this year
If your New Years resolution is to start recycling, try starting with aluminum cans.
Recycling aluminum will help save the environment because it is less expensive to
process recycled aluminum than it is to process aluminum from raw materials. Both
newly processed and recycled aluminum are used
in many products ranging from airplanes, building
supplies, fishing boats, and many other consumer
products.
You can start recycling aluminum cans by simply
dropping them off at the nearest recycling center
in your neighborhood which are listed here for
your convenience. The other option is to take
them to Basin Recycling at 1721 Dietrich Rd in
Pasco where you can turn them in for cash.
There are many convenient
Neighborhood Recycling Centers
around your community for glass,
mixed paper, newspaper, cardboard,
tin and aluminum cans.

Safe and natural cleaning products for your home
Baking Soda: Try it for pet messes and smells. Combine it with a little water to scrub
up anything and to add a nice shine. Add to vinegar or dish soap for super strength to
clean tile, pots and pans, carpet, tubs, toilets and even stains on clothing!
Castile Soap is a gentle soap made from vegetable oil as opposed to animal fat or
synthetics. Great for use in general cleaning, laundry, body wash, and shampoo.
Lemon Juice: Great cleaner for cutting grease. Also lightens
and brightens your hair!
Vinegar: Good for just about everything. White vinegar is
great for general cleaning, but apple cider vinegar is great
for soaking toilets, showers, sinks and other tough
water/mildew spots. Put it in the laundry rinse cycle for a
great fabric softener. Vinegar is simply amazing!
Recycled plastic replaces wood for decking / fencing
Structural plastic lumber is long lasting and weather resistant with the structural
characteristic of dimensional wood lumber.

Plastic lumber is very well suited for exterior
applications where resistance to weathering
and minimal maintenance is required, and a
quality appearance is essential. It maintains
its color stability and surface finish over its
entire useful service life, and never needs to
be sealed, painted or stained. It’s perfect for
home patio decking.
