Realize. You can accelerate. University of Regina High School Accelerated Program www.uregina.ca/cce Get a head start on university. The U of R High School Accelerated Program is a great way to transition to university life. You can lighten your future university course load and develop skills to excel in university. Grade 11 and 12 students can get a taste of university education by taking credit courses that will count towards a degree. This program is for you. In addition to getting a head start and easing your way into university, you can free up your schedule to work part-time during your first year without falling behind. You can take a course in a subject your high school doesn’t offer and take on a new challenge. Also, you can graduate from your university degree program earlier. While High School Accelerated students are welcome to take any U of R course for which first-year students are eligible, we schedule a range of HSXL courses specifically with you in mind. We choose courses students will be able to use toward most university degree programs. Courses, electives & program outline. In the beginning there was a huge intimidation factor. Not only was I one of the High School Accelerated students, but also the youngest. This gave me motivation to want to do my best and prove myself. Although the class was tough and very demanding, it was well worth it. “I love the whole independent atmosphere...” I learned that university is completely different from high school, and that it’s a ‘get what you give’ situation. I love the whole independent atmosphere, and the ability to learn how to think, not what to think. Business 100 was an amazing course. Course Locations.
