Vincent joined LaPorte from a Public Company and Governmental entity (Louisiana
Legislative Auditors). He gained valuable experience leading and performing both
Application and General Control IT Audits. He has experience in the area of
Information Technology (IT) controls and assurance and is competent in providing
auditing and consulting in such areas as, the State University System, healthcare,
financial institutions, Sarbanes Oxley 404, and many more. Vincent researches
guidance from various information security organizations to stay abreast of the different
industry IT trends, techniques, and best practices.
As an IT auditor, his work experience includes:

IT General Controls (e.g. Change Management, System Development Life Cycle,
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity, Logical Access, Application Security,
Segregation of Duties, Network Security, Policies and Procedures, etc.)

Application Controls (Input, Processing, Output, and Security of application data.)

Reviewing SSAE16 (SOC 1 and SOC 2) reports to ensure that the guidance under
which they were prepared is accurate and the user entity has the necessary user
considerations (control objectives) in place.

Performed IT risk assessments to identify and evaluate IT threats, and reporting
and suggesting actions to mitigate those risks.
Vincent has performed these engagements using various major financial applications
and systems, for example, PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, ERP, Legacy Systems,
and Banner. He has queried and reported from many different platforms, including but
not limited to Microsoft Access, SQL, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Crystal Reports, and
Business Objects for interpretation and statistical analysis.
